I have decided, after three years of the same problem, to start keeping a log of all the times I get objects returned when I own the land and have plenty of prims available. I have posted about this problem many times over the years. So have many others.
However, now I will post the details each time:
Sept. 21 2006
The object 'Second Life' has sent you a message from Second Life: Your object 'This Could Be You!' has been returned to your inventory lost and found folder from parcel '! A Spook House Ride / Haunted House built by Sinatra Cartier.' at Noyo 67, 145. The object 'Second Life' has sent you a message from Second Life: Your object 'Rocket 88 V1' has been returned to your inventory lost and found folder from parcel '! A Spook House Ride / Haunted House built by Sinatra Cartier.' at Noyo 94, 158.

Hi Sinatra
One thing that has occurred to me is that your returned items might be due to the changes in behaviour of temp-on-rez? In the past, temp-on-rez items didn't count against the parcel limit, but now they do... if you have things which produce temp-on-rez effects, these may be responsible for your returned items.
There is now a very arcane formula for deciding how many temp on rez items you can have on a parcel, but even if you have a whole sim, you can only have 500. This may have made a difference to the way that your objects behave, and may not be a bug.
Andrew Linden did post about the changes somewhere on the forums, but I can't lay my hands on the link now.
Edited to add: You may need to look at whether other people are temp-on-rezzing stuff on your parcels too, because annoyingly, your stuff will be returned rather than theirs at present. BWS Cali

BWS Cali Hello Caliandris, Thank you for your reply. No, I do not have any objects that use "temp_on_rez" Most importantly, my objects, up to my prim limit, should NEVER be returned. If someone else creates, flys or drags something onto my land, those objects should be returned, not mine. Sinatra

Oh, hey, this happened to me yesterday, too. I can't be sure, but it seems pretty unlikely to me that the parcel in question was full... it had about 90 prims free when I came by to visit it, and the returned object was only 31.

Depending on where it was... I half suspect this is happening when something else is rezzed/enters the parcel. Vehicles for instance, or someone rezzing an object... 62 prim object(s) on your parcel, they get returned, but you were over X, so 62 + X get returend... Well, maybe. Could just be a more sublte bug in the parcel prim counter. *shrug* Just tossing it out there.

Jillian, let's say I have 62 prims that I can use on my land. Then let's asume I build 62 prims there so that now I have 0 available. Now, I check the options than noone can build on my land. If someone drives a vehicle onto my land or drags objects onto it, those objects or prims should be returned, never mine.

Sheesh. I think I'm gonna start tracking this kind of thing publicly too.
Obviously LL just gives the pat reply when this is reported only occasionally. They may even believe the pat response. But with the date, time, parcel, etc., this should make it trackable and verifiable, I would think.
I am sorry to hear about the problem, and unfortunately I can sympathize.

From: Errafel Eccleston Using a holovendor? Hello Errafel, no holovendor. Just objects I created, placed on land I own with plenty of available prims and "create objects" turned off. This happens all the time and has continued to happen for years.

What does a car and piano have in common? I don't suppose your piano lid moves?

Damn! this has the makings of becoming an infamous 'whodunnit' - or in this case 'What-did-it'. (So how will it end? tune in for the next enthralling chapter...)
Seriously though Sinatra, I personally am not going to get on Lindens backs as I dont know what commincations they have had with you or advice offered, but you only need to look at the dates to see that you seem to have put up with a fair bit of frustration, and this can only put Lindens in a bad light.
I can't believe a LInden hasn't at least posted in your thread.
So what (if any) help have you received so far from Lindens?
