did you see this page
http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/k.asp?action=page&page=news&topic=pcbuilderpage x2-4800 is veery expensive, you can buy a x2-4200 for 370£ less btw, on Komplett you can remove mouse/keyboard/operating system/screen , if you already have those when you build one (usually most do ;P) Just did a little try on the things i would get and it came out like this : £1606 |

oh heres another one, i noticed the other i had picked had 2x7800 sli ;_; overkill£1192 ,, might want to check the casing tho, you reallly need a 80-120mm fan behind cpu , i seen some odd casings that dont have it, or a small 60mm whiiney fans.
Also another small thing motherboards with chipset fans = get loud and incredibly annoying after awhile. :: okey heres some info about the casing http://www.antec.com/ec/productDetails.php?ProdID=09180 neat design, psu is bottom and large 120mm fans near cpu and above, check the pics. Bit clunky, but then again i have this ;P http://www.chenbro.com.tw/product/product_preview.php?pid=74 |

Many more options, and works out a lot cheaper than Evesham! Think I have my choices made on spec, but am not willing to order at 1am lol, need to see it in the day after a good sleep._____________________

Possibly too late but here is my two pence. The 4800+ X2 is fast and expensive. I'd go with the 4400+ as it is cheaper and actually uses a cooler running core and the onboard cash is a smidge more efficient. I have it and it runs very well indeed. I built mine with the 4400+X2, a8n-sli, 2 gig Corsair pro ram and 6800 Ultra 512 and 550w PSU for around $1800 (£1016 or so)
The duel core cpu's are ideal for SL as they let you work in Photoshop and have SL open at the same time without either slowing down. Also I have had 5 instances of SL (mine and my sister's alts) on at the same time with some lag. Runs great with 2. The Fx-57 is faster but it is single core meaning Doom3 will fly but don't expect to be able to run Sl and PS at the same time with no slowdown. I got my 4400= for the same price as most were paying for single core 4400+ so I can't complain. Also keep in mind there isn't a whole lot of difference in the speed of the cpu. A 3500+ is not seriously slower than a 4800+ by a great margin. In fact the 4000+ is the fx-54 with no overclock ability(same chip, just locked). Duel core is the future no doubt. Unfortunatly software is waaay behind the hardware atm. _____________________

Thnx for your input Kathmandu. Yeh, I have already ordered, same board, same RAM (altho not corsair), same psu as what you have listed, but went for the 4800+. Oh well, mybe I have spent too much lol. But at least I am now confident in what I am getting, thnx to the help of everyone here, especially Thili
