ok i daw the sliders that basicly just made the layer lighter or darker... but alpha generators??????????? all i saw was a bunch of black adn white layers whit coresponding effect layer or something Go to the "Window" menu and put a check mark next to "channels". This will switch your view from "layers" to "channels". Look at the alpha image related to facial hair there. This is the place that all these black and white files can potentially be copied to to generate a new alpha channel. That subsequent "New" alpha channel can be used to create a layer to work on in the "Color Workshop" layer set. Don't fill your channels window up with too many alphas. There is a limit. It's better to keep them in a layer set and copy them over to the channels window as you need them. It is hard for me to determine your skill level with PS based on your reply, but I am guessing you may want to look at the numerous posts here on alpha channels and such. _____________________

...how exactly do i use the alpha chanel to make a new layer... 1. Create a new transparent layer in the "color workshop" layer set 2. Load your new alpha as a selection (Select/Load Selection... see image below) 3. Fill your selection with pure white 4. Set up a color overlay effect on the layer to adjust tone and color 5. Set up any other effects that you desire _____________________

Hiya's
I went to the site, But it gives an error message, something about no download for a long time or something, Does anyone know if it's still available and if so where I can get a copy? Thankyou Nat _____________________

I love you...
*sheds a tear and hugs the make up kit tenderly* I would also like to add that sometimes its a good thing when second life is down.. often I get so busy I never take the time to check the forums and wow look at all the goodies i've missed for so long. I've been struggling to do these things and had even started to set up my own make up template but you have saved me hours and hours and HOURS of work lmao... THANK YOU!!! |
