If you Design/Make/Sell/Create Prim Shoes PLEASE READ THIS

Hello

I have a small request. Somewhere along the line it was decided that we all had to shrink our footsies down to ZERO in order for prim shoes to "look good", "look right" and/or "not look so clunky and huge".

I for one beg to differ. Because for whatever reason, when you DO shrink yer feet down to zero, SL avatar shape creates a lovely TUMOR looking thing at yer ankles.

I say to all you wonderful prim shoe creators UNITE and STOP THE ANKLE TUMOR MADNESS!

Please........make your shoes to fit a slider 15 and below. 20-30 and below would be optimal. And/Or like some shoe makers out there have done, made it so we can stretch the shoe out to fit a semi-normal footsize.

Perhaps back in the advent of prim shoes, ppl didn't have the skills to make them sleek and streamlined, and we had to shrink our poor feet down to compensate. Well from what I've seen out there now, the talent is amazing, and there's no need to for the foot shrinking tumor inducing distortion to continue.

Prim shoes are sleek, sassy, non-bulky and gosh darn sexy these days! It totally ruins the look of your lovely shoes to have a bulging ankle showing right above a sleek and sassy shoe.

What say you? Can we do this? Say it with me: NO MORE TUMORS! NO MORE TUMORS!

***Note - while I may use humor to make my point here - I'm completely serious about this - ie this isnt a haha I'm bored and thot I'd make a joke post. Please: lets be the change.

My feet were really starting to hurt form the binding-treatments my sl podiatrist was advising so I could fit into those no mod size 0's..... I even had to go buy an animation overrider to compensate. Will it never end???

IMO- size 20 is optimal.

isn't it imposseble to bent a foot to fit in a high heel shoe?
There is even a feature request about it in the vote systeem.

I could be horrible wrong being male, and never have bought shoes in SL.

ahhh, the beuty of cloak script, slap that in and u can c part of urself so then put that in the gap in the shoe and wala, ur foot part in the gap goes poof

hey guys, I have a better idea. Why not keep avatar sizes to real life proportions? Too often do I see 7 foot tall women walking around with their 8 foot tall hubby. In real life these people would have much bigger feet proportionally, and if they were normal sized the shoes people make might even fit! Imagine that, shoes that fit realistically. amazing

Hehe, the one reason I make shoes is that I refused to shrink my foot to fit the ones for sale. I think my shape is perfect and no one is messing it up!

I agree...I have a rather tall avi and it looks odd when I have to adjust my foot size to the smallest size

With the inworld Height detector I was able to make my avi the same height I am in RL

5'2"

I like size 0 shoes and I have no tumers on my ankles. The large shoes that are no mod look like Boats on my lil feet

So please do not all stop making size zero. I have too many expensive gigantico shoes I can not wear already !

However my idea was to have MOD shoes or shoes offered in other sizes besides zero.
Sorta like a RL shoe store.

If as a creator, you don't want to have your shoes modable. just make a couple two three versions: one set for zero, one for 10 and one for 20 etc.

I'm an amazon avatar and shrinking footsies down to zero aside from the whole tumor thing looks really wierd.

Like you, I have lots of shoes I can only wear with pants cuz I'm tryin to hide my tumors all the time. I was hoping for a solution that both the tumorless and tumored folks could be happy with

mmk got a bit of insight on that.....it takes me approximately a week to make a pair of shoes...to get them perfect.....i tried modabale but was swamped with ims all day cause someone shrunk one or dropped it on the graound and accidemtly unlinked the whole thing ...not to mention the mod ones someone copied and resold prim for prim......or...ended up resizing and you see half thier sole on the back of the shoe cause they wanted to make the back of the shoe fit thier larger then designed foot. mmk then theres the fact no matter what its because i didnt design them right or so the word would spread in thier eyes....because someone that cant manipulate prims f-ed them up....
oh btw -every last one of these people would im me for replacements for something they messed up or cant get to fit right.(or lost the textures on the shoe cause they decided to recolor(im an artist and im sensetive about my $hit)

#2 i have had requests for oh hmmmmm 20 colors of every shoe....say i do 13 colors... my design time will say double or triple trying to do different sizes and therefore id get more ims asking how long how long...as they always do regarding the next shoe release.

#3 if you want shoes that looks a mess they sure i can do bulk sizing 20-30 or 10-20 but if you want it to fit correctly you MUST redo a different size for every size foot...EVERY ONE!!! or...il get ims saying "eww why do i have all this space around my foot the ends" stick out or "my foot goes over"0..(suprise only the exact size will fit)

#4 in order to achive the actual shoe wearing look the prim is aprox 2-3 xs the size of the soe base so....imagin a size 20 foot in a oceanliner!....i dont know about you but if you design a shoe to look like one thing and a person atutomatiaclly goes to change it b4 trying it the way it was ment to be worn is like.....you slaving over a hot stove for hours sitting the food on the table to eat and you guest grabs the salt shaker and peper and goes town....without lifting fork to mouth once to see if its indeed seasoned enough....then goes back and tells people he/she doesnt like your cooking but never got a chance to taste the original...thats BS!

#5 finally the only reason im responding to this is because it fricken hurt......we work our asses off and try to give people exactly what they want w/o f-ing over myself...or leaving myself and sensual as a victims of knockoff content pirates. you give me a full proof copyright method and at least 2 assistants to handle customer service/returns/exchanges as it stand i recive aprox.....102 offline messages if im not online for about 2 hours a day during prime time---(imaging i sold 735 pairs of glimmer shoes b4 dec update and had to replace 810 pairs--due to sl f-ing up the scripts) ---and hmmmm the math there doesnt quite ad up there does it? if i can get the help, for free, someone to box up the shitload of shoes per style (w/o fear of them reselling if they get upset cause you didnt answer thier ims right away ) or help cover the now aprx 2-3 days it will take to recreate the shoe in each size (yes recreate in order for it to look right on theat size..at least to my personal standards....it cant just be resized....thus the extra week it took on doing mens/womens )


you know what im going to stop now cause i dont have time and im getting more and more hurt by this ...im tired on the edge and work my tail off but obviously no matter what use creators do or how much we accomidate itll never be enough.....I QUIT!!!

I hate to do it cus Kas, I love you much.... but Lord lol.... I have to agree with Asri... omg lol Kas your post about a perfect AV about made me piss my pants.

I did a little testing on this and found that the "tumor" at the ankle did not smooth out until I hit a minimum of 30 on the foot size slider. I have a petite avatar ... well petite by SL standards, but same as my 5'10" rl height, and size 30 feet looked way too big. Add the extra bulk of a lot of prims and *voila*... clown shoes! I wonder too, if foot size is the sole factor in this tumor phenomenon. I'll have to test more, but I bet avatar thickness plays a role as well.

Anyway, I think it's a good thing that there is an industry standard foot size. I would hate having to save or change a shape everytime I changed shoes.

Actually Asri darlin YOUR shoes work fine for me. I stretch them out fine to fit my untumored foot size, no problem.

Looks like folks who haven't taken a building class messing around in edit are causing prollems then running to you to fix it.

I'm not throwing blame around, and if you read my original post, I got nothing but praise for those who make prim shoes. You already have modable shoes available, so my post in your case is moot. You're ahead of the game.

Actually I have to change my footsize pretty often in order to wear all my different shoes. I dont have that many (cuz of the tumor thing), but I tend to wear Asri's glimmer most often, as they can be modified to fit.

I think that the size zero works fine for the more petite avatars, however when you get into amazon territory it dont work so hot, but the good news is the tumor smooths out between 10-20 depending on how huge you are LOL

and just a note to any and all fab shoe makers out there. If these suggestions don't work for ya, then don't sweat it. Was just hoping IF It was a possibility for you, then cool.

There would be 90% reduction in breast size in general...and 150% increase in Butts, belly and double chin size and a 1000% decrease in avatar ego size due to people not being able to hide behind their Playboy Avatars whislt they sit at their PCs in RL munching of chips, no make up on , hair net, false teeth in a glass making their avatars tits bigger, waist smaller butt cuter all the while their real ass grows as big as a small planet!

Sorry...I just hate those shallow insecure women ( and men ) who walk about their virtual world looking down their virtual noses at other VIRTUAL avatars because they have more VIRTUAL clothes or the latest VIRTUAL hair style or their VIRTUAL ass is smaller...their VIRTUAL breasts are bigger..

And THEN you go to their profile...and to the '1st Life' bit just to get some kinda idea of how shallow and insecure this person is...and guess what? its yet another VIRTUAL picture of their VIRTUAL self!

Always the same...the really pretty attractive people in REAL LIFE dont put so much emphasis on creating sexy impossibly beautiful and well dressed dollies...and spend all their RL money on impressing other virtual players with their virtual crap...because they dont have insecurity issues I ALWAYS wish I could just sneak a peak at a RL picture of these SL snobs..i would bet my wage they are over weight, plain looking , never leave the house...very lonely...and taking the whole fantasy WAY TOO seriously. Damb shame they are so ugly on the inside too.

They should go stand on their door step once in a while...take a breath of fresh air turn the PC off and get a RL.

My avie has a larger than normal nose infact its dangerously unacceptable in some poser places in SL !l ( altho I DID give it to the less eye bags and wrinkles and smaller butt ..even i cave in the the pressure of unrealistic beauty in SL )
