I wonder what percentage of a heavy poster's posts are actually worth reading. I think I'm at about 25% right now myself.

I thought it was the general posts we find on the forums. ![]() _____________________

100% of my posts are worth writing.
Only about 70% are worth reading. The remainder are posted for my own satisfaction. _____________________

This poll begs the question: does anyone read what we write, anyway?
I certainly don't read everything. Certain thread topics instantly repel me, but from their length they are obviously attracting others. Case in point: any thread with the words 'age' and 'play' in a certain context. Ick. I'd imagine there are five times the number of people in here than most have heard of, due to thread taste. _____________________

All of them of course. I'm having a hard time figuring out why someone would post something they didn't think was worth reading for one reason or another.

All of them of course. I'm having a hard time figuring out why someone would post something they didn't think was worth reading for one reason or another. Some of them aren't because I've posted when I'm asleep or intoxicated so I'm not thinking properly. Most are made redundant by Chosen Few posting a far better and more understandable explanation soon after. ![]() _____________________

Some of my posts aren't worth reading because I've made them simply to amuse myself. Ditto for whatever % I chose for not worth reading... i've already forgotten what I picked. The rest I write because I care about what's being said. _____________________

I am going to repackage these results as a study on "Who takes their forum time (or themselves) too seriously?"

As I near the 1,000 post mark, I realize that I haven't done a tremendous lot in these forums. Not much of what I have written is particularly amusing or insightful.
However, I *have* managed to creep out Chance Abattoir. This, my friends, is the apogee of forums success. ![]() _____________________

Haven't you ever posted something, gone back and looked at it and thought "what was the point of that?" or "no ones gonna read/care about that"?
I have.. ![]() _____________________
