What the heck? Do you have 0.1fps or something when you play SL?

I'm just slow, OK? Is this a personal attack. What are you insinuating? Why don't you people just leave me alone!

OMG! This is awful. If you dare to leave anything on any of my land and I have to spend 2 minutes with the land tools returning it to you.....well, I will not rest until you are punished accordingly.

Two Minutes? I owuldn't leave THAT MUCH.
If anything at all.

Inside of a week or two I'll have a working 'freindly' combat system set up with destructing envorinments, and weapons that don't quite kill you instantly. My group, STLKR, will be holding missions in sandboxes, and residences where people allow us to set up. (Yes, I killed off the SLUTS group, this is new group).

STLKR (an abbreviation, not an acronym) also has another purpose. To tresspass on private builds, leave 'momentos' of our visits, and to raise a little havok on what has become a really boring place as of late.

We will be tresspassing on private property. We will be circumventing your weak security ind AR ones that that we don't like. We will not shoot you, unless you shoot first (asshole). We will carry weapons in case they are needed, and because they look good with the outfits. We may also carry other goodies, like pizza boxes, suitcases, or dry cleaning. We may also deliver a telegram, so dont kill us right off.

Oh.... and if you see a person in the shadows, crouching in the distance.... yes, they might be there for you.

I'm bored. The grid needs to be exploitedored.
And this forum needs a 'strike' tag.

Banning you from two sims and will get several others to do the same.

Anyone who is bored with Second Life is free to leave. Boredom isn't a pass to bother other people or disrupt their builds.

but isn't what second life advertises is that it is the do anything, be anyone, one of a kind, always find something else to do game? So if someone gets bored doing on thing, why shouldn't they be able to do something that they find fun unless it completely goes against the rules in every way?

You can do what you want as long as it's not screwing with someone else's good time. Common sense.

I think it would be fun to have forum poster sumo bouts inworld. Each poster would don a sumo avatar, then we'd all watch as the two wrestled (need some anims). It could be initiated by one poster calling another out to settle a dispute.

Well, I think it would be fun. Not enough sumo in SL.

Personally I like the idea of a Mad Max group of thugs just walking around the land. I would go more for Robin Hood inspired...take from the sitting-casino's and give to the poor. If you got a big nasty group of people all of you should go and camp all the guys money until the casino is dry and then you can shoot anyone who tries to stop you :D

PS EDIT: And order some in-game hookers and pay them with your casino earnings!!!

Actually. That sounds like a plan. Oh, if only I thought I could run SecondLife through a remote connection from work....

This thread reminds me about the time I was building at my home and someone flew in and just unprovokedly hit me with a gun... I stood there about 20 seconds and then decided, what the heck, and attached my gun and returned fire. For the next hour we shot different guns at eachother, pushgun'ed eachother, orbit-caged eachother... He was wearing a red hat like Red Mage from Final Fantasy, and I secretly called him my happy little griefer friend. Oddly enough, it was a hell of a lot of fun.

I had been sitting there racking my brain trying to make a script work and wasn't getting ANYWHERE with it. After my break with my new friend I came back to my work refreshed and relaxed, and immediately solved the scripting hurdle at which I had been stuck earlier.

* Note : These results not guaranteed, or even likely, for anyone else ever.

SL is not real, I take advantage of that all the time. I was in some Urban areas and there are lots of people around there all carrying weapons and looking' hard. There was people behind a fence that said "NO TRESPASSING, OR YOU DEAD" so I talked to the guy through the fence and they started to shoot at me right after "Sup?", if I could hold my frame-rate in fire fights I would love it! That and to be able to see my gun in first person mode ;)

Haha. Well. We would likely be carrying guns or a weapon of some sort. But STLKR would have a Innocent Until Proven A Target rule. That is, we might stroll by, say hi, admire your build, put on a song and dance number, then scamper off. The public version on my STLKR suit (black ninja-like number with a p90) would have some 'blank' rounds that don't hit as hard. Of course, with the same weapon I could flip over to BiBi mode and quickly de-grief a whole area. If you're in a jam, maybe you can hire.... a pizzaboy!

Heh, well parts of Burke's plans might concern me, but I do get a chuckle from the idea of folks trying to circumvent over-zealous security (when no one is around) and leave a civil one prim note to that effect. Think the cat burglar from the Simpsons, or suggest if the Pizza Guy can get in, ANYONE can.

Course, there are a few places that REALLY do need privacy when no one is around, and privacy should be respected when the space is occupied. But I've had a few run-ins of late with no-warning TP home security*, and, well, if folks are going to be paranoid, give them a reason to be.

But then, I don't really have a dog in this fight. But if you do drop off my dry cleaning, it better be light starch. God help you if it's heavy starch!

*Full disclosure: Once while working on a visitor/security script that seemed to be broken, the TP home part was in fact partially working, and teleported a perfectly nice av away. To that person, again, my sincerest apologies. Note to self: take that bloody function out if EVER want to look at it again.

What also really gets me is when assholes have waterside property that ejects you from your. Split the damn parcel up, and if your build crosses over the water, make the lower parts phantom or 'drawbridgeable'. I do like to cruise around in my jetski or innertube, and I'l have to add a setpos mode to both of them because of this.

Totally agree. Was going to do this myself, but as with all things, I moved on to a new concept prior to doing any real work on it.

I suppose we could do Sumo. I'd also like to try large-scale bowling with noobs as the pins.
