From: Jon Rolland Awww you mean the falling cost of Lindens that buyers cheered at our expense is now coming back around to bite you? What is it they say about karma? Sorry Jon but I gotta agree with this one. Since falling L values were used as justification to raise prices now that hey are better then that justification has been removed. Just ads into my market manipulation theory that they are not falling back again. But then considerring one oif the bigest proponents of the scare tactic is a freebie reseller I am not surprised at anything at his point.

From: Vivianne Draper I've pretty much stopped shopping at places that raised their prices and where I feel the price is too high. If you feel the price is too high, then you should do that too. If more people did that, perhaps shop owners wouldn't set their prices too high. I didn't raise my prices (I tried something crazy and went the other way), but I am curious about something you said. You stopped shopping at stores that raised their prices when the L$ fell, or only stores that raised their prices where you felt the new price was too high?

From: Rusholme Malone But Flip, absolutely none of that is going to stop me from having a random rant and a dig across the Atlantic. hehehehe, nor should you - the British are the best in the world at ranting and swearing.

Well... its actually hard to discern. I hadn't been paying attention to price until the bs with the linden rollercoaster happened. Then one day I was shopping somewhere and it was like... omg that's expensive! This also kind of coincided with the closing of the Spa so I was no longer getting paid -- all of a sudden price was more important. I wouldn't say that I stopped buying somewhere simply because the prices went up. I did, however, start paying more attention to how much was being charged. For instance, and I'll use clothing since that's what I buy most of, there is a popular store where an outfit set in one color routinely goes for 400-500L. I have pretty much stopped going there and that decision is dictated solely on price because I can get similar items of similar quality at 1/5 the price with many more colors thrown in. So now that I'm paying attention, the price definitely outweighs the value. There is one exception and that's Nonna's gowns. But her gowns are (IMHO) unequaled anywhere else in SL. But see.. her prices have always been outrageous. But then, you have to ask why I'm all of a sudden paying attention. Is it because I'm not getting paid anymore? Well, possibly. On the other hand I have a good job and can afford to buy lindens and have started selling my own stuff so I'm making a buck. Is it because certain people announced they were going to raise prices? Well yes I have to admit that I did perk up and take notice at that. I would also say that I'm not petty enough to stop going somewhere simply because prices went up -- the price would have had to outweighed the value for me. From: Cristiano Midnight I didn't raise my prices (I tried something crazy and went the other way), but I am curious about something you said. 2 things. One.. NEW products seem to be more expensive, but you can't have a rollback on NEW things as they don't have a price to roll back to. Two.. We put gasoline in our cars... (wikipedia for the win) From: someone Gasoline also called petrol is a petroleum-derived liquid mixture consisting primarily of hydrocarbons, used as fuel in internal combustion engines.
Many Commonwealth countries use the term petrol (abbreviated from petroleum spirit). The term gasoline is commonly used in North America. The word is commonly shortened in colloquial usage to "gas" (see other meanings). And, where I live, we cook our food on a propane stove. From: someone Propane is a three-carbon alkane. It is derived from other petroleum products during oil or natural gas processing. It is commonly used as a heat source for engines, barbecues, and homes. Its name was derived from propionic acid.

From: Rusholme Malone Anyway, we all drive smaller cars (I do, anyway - a Ford Ka!) You just lost any credibility you had. You CHOOSE to drive the 'Pregnant Rollerskate'?!
