They just made an announcement that Second Life will be down till 5pm Central Standard Time Wonderful Would you prefer they opened up with the bug they found intact? Wait, don't answer, you probably would. I'd add that to the list of great ideas like everything in RL being free and building robots and giving everyone unlimited L$ to balance the economy. ![]() Regards, -Flip _____________________

And you couldn't of added this to one of the multitude of threads already in existance on this very subject? Oh no...sorry...I forgot...you're Magnum. First of all, I looked for this in the general forums, as usual, the Star Chamber was trying to ignore the issue so I brought it up in the General forums because I could not find it. {{Removed the line stating personal attacks it is not approrate}}} |

They just made an announcement that Second Life will be down till 5pm Central Standard Time Wonderful There's a whole big bad world out there, Magnum. I am glad they caught such a critical bug and if it takes a little while for them to fix it, so be it - life goes on. _____________________

First of all, I looked for this in the general forums, as usual, the Star Chamber was trying to ignore the issue so I brought it up in the General forums because I could not find it. I also resent the personal attacks. There's a sticky thread, at the very top of the General forum, posted by Jeska Linden, before you posted this one. Not a terribly good hiding place if they were trying to ignore the issue. There are also 3 or 4 other threads on it, all with responses. _____________________

I think what I am saying is I do not see the point of this upgrade except to add some fancy camera angles. I am very glad they caught the bugs but I feel if they did not make this upgrade this set of bugs would not be there to catch |

You can't of looked hard enough then as there are lots of threads about it on general! Even without trying I've found two, both with the words 'delayed' in the title, that were started half an hour before yours. I think you just wanted to start another, as you so often do. ![]() And you wouldn't be you if you didn't think that everything was a personal attack. Man, you get my goat, you really do. _____________________

There's a whole big bad world out there, Magnum. I am glad they caught such a critical bug and if it takes a little while for them to fix it, so be it - life goes on. Amen. I would much rather they catch critical bugs before the update goes live, than have something slip through that will create chaos later. (Hah, accidentally said 'then' instead of 'than.' Funny typo.) I'm sure people are anxious to get in world and do whatever they do, but surely people must have work, or family, or housework, or RL projects, or books and television that can keep them entertained or at least busy for a while. I made brownies, and balanced my checkbook, and actually chatted with my husband without typing it to him. ![]() _____________________

However much I'm frustrated that things move slowly here and that the big promises remain just kisses in the wind, at least there are some improvements coming. You would only be happy if the feature set had been locked at something like 1.3 and no futther changes ever happened. _____________________

Sorry I did not see them Becuase, as so often happens, you never bother to look. What could you miss about a sticky at the top, two threads with the word DELAYED in the title and others also about the update. If you missed all that then no, you didn't bother to look. You always start threads when many others already exist on a topic, especially at updates or if there are service problems. You never, ever look. _____________________

Thats a great way of looking at it! yeah wonderfull....especially since im supposed to get maried today Thats awful Max, call it a learning experience, to reschedule things that are on the day of an update I'm sorry if they overlap though However, it could be a blessing, right after updates are always a bit slow and buggy, maybe you could reschedule to a time that will be better?_____________________

I request that this thread be closed. I will not put up with these personal attacks. I even backed off once on this personal attack thing and yet they continued. |

I have tried to convence these people that I did look carefully before posting. I request that this thread be closed. I will not put up with these personal attacks. I even backed off once on this personal attack thing and yet they continued. And I guess many of us just don't believe you because you do this so often. History's a pig at times isn't it. I request that all your threads are closed as soon as they're opened as you invariably ask for them to be closed within the first few pages anyway. Would save us all RSI, but would probably remove some of the laughs. We'd just have to live with that. _____________________
