Didn't Macs have a thing called Finder? Do they still have that? What was it?

I for one would like to advocate having a Locate button.
Search is ok but it always leaves me feeling unfullfilled. And find is just selfish to satisfy. Locate on the other always ROCKS my WORLD. Locate a cookie and eat it. Karmi |

Two Points:
1) I've had to explain to a LOT!!! of new residents that when I say FIND I mean search "search" so it'll be nice for me provided that 2) the keystroke is updated as well. Techiwikinsanity will dictate that we preserve the most revered archaic ctrl-F to open the search window which allows to search everything except 3) profiles by description, skills, picks, and private notes. That's apparently a HOT TOPIC!!! that isn't really. okay three points _____________________

People who advocate Search are therefore Failures! Stand up for your Basic Avatar Rights! Boycott the evils of Search! _____________________

Locate a cookie and eat it. Karmi Hee, Locate isn't bad. Of course, perhaps a word like "Explore" would be even better, as it would remove the frustration expressed here by people who fail to "Find" anything in their "Search." With Explore, there is no expectation to find anything whatsoever. It is a "risk-free" term! (...oh gawd... this is terrible...) Wait. Wait, I have it! !! "Rummage" !! I really like the idea of hitting the "Rummage" key. Not only is it rarely used, but it has a nice quaint nostalgic feel. Rummage. Vote for it. |

"Query" is a possibilty, also "Inquire". "Sniff Out" might work.

I dont know about the heated debate about the Find button's label but since you brought it up, I think it should be called "Find Pie".
I just love the new additions to the toolbar I saw on your signature image. ;-P Troy _____________________
