What should such fellows as I do crawling between earth and heaven? We are arrant knaves, all; believe none of us.

Just once, I would love to see SLers exercise restraint and not show that they are upset. I also wish we could end world hunger, stop war, and take a taxi to Mars. Taxis are 'spensive. (Sings in vintage Freddie Mercury fashion) I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike. I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride it where I like. ![]() P2 _____________________

Have you ever met a total a**hole before? Yes, I have. And that explains it. There's no reasoning with them. No logic. No understanding. They just *are*. |

So you see, they feed off the reaction they get in the forums. This is why you ALWAYS see these turds popping up after these attacks, with one, or very few posts to their names, making vague little jabs at forumites. They have dozens if not hundreds of shill acounts to do this with. After a couple of years of observing this behavior, one develops an eye for spotting it -- not that it's very difficult. I am glad to see that I'm not the only one whoes noticing. A few Years in SL and you know what to expect, and it kinda gives you a 6th sence. I can usually tell who a griefer is the moment they emurge from a Teleport. BUT i don't act upon that belief untill they do. It's one of the reasons i was hired in the sim i work in. One of the previous officers noticed this in me. I used to keep a notecard with names of banned residents from many places in SL, and a warning list of people suspected of griefing or who seemed to look and act like a griefer. But eventually I just stopped adding to it after the free accounts came along. Just got so many of them and all... _____________________

Its funny that you create such generalizations about FPS players when you are playing an MMO in which the players are hygenically just as bad if not worse. Dude, I play FPS games. Chill out, or I am going to start thinking you have a guilty conscience. The comment about the grid crashers playing FPS games and the other stuff was to reinforce the fake "post-modernism" thing. I was showing how ironic it could possibly be, IF they did what I described, and claimed to be "post-modernists", as some of them and their defenders have insinuated or come right out and said in the past, while dropping the names of certain French philosphers. I capitalized "IF" above, because that entire statement of mine hinges on the second word I used in it -- "probably". In other words, they "may", or they "might". I'll also point out that calling people "dumbass" is a breach of forum rules, not that I ever report people for stuff like that. *shrug* Not to mention, it's a highly misplaced personal attack, because Reitsuki has it exactly right -- you're the one twisting the words of others -- in this case mine. Your interpretation of what I wrote is baseless. Did I say "everyone who plays FPS games is a zit popping, soda quaffing grid attacker?" No. What I said was that the people who brought the grid down may be the type of individuals I described. So if you don't attack the grid, and happen to be an FPS player, then I wasn't talking about you, and we have something in common. *shudder* _____________________

Please folks lets keep the name calling to a minimum. Besides dragging the topic, off-topic; it's against forum guidelines.

So how do you tell a griefer from just a newborn? Easily. It's their first day, they have no groups or are in 1 group that sounds like a griefer group like "STUPID HATS", "THE {CENSORED} POLICE" or "WE KILLZ JOO" and they come up to you in some really weird or ugly avatar like a zombie or a huge replica of a genetal body part. They begin rezzing stuff usually used in a sandbox like green slime drones and talk like "Hi U give $ pls??" or "Can i hav yer av?". If you don't believe this, next time one of these people walk past you, remember their names and check on them in a month or two. If they don't exist anymore then well, you know... _____________________
