^ thats extremaly closed minded... stuff like this is limiting and cutting off the communities open doors... second life is supose to be a fun and open place... getting angry and desiding to close it up is a really crappy sugesstion... go bakc to the days when you where 18 and dint have your daddy's money....... and try to find it in your budget to drop money on a game....

no more free accounts is a bit extreme. Though i do think and even though i understand most dont have a CC or what not, that they should go back to only CC as payment and age verification. its not gonna solve the problem of every griefer but i do believe it will be a good step in security to stop these from happen from what seems like turning into a once of week thing.

As far as stoleing CC most of these griefers probably arent mastermind criminals lmao but mearly some a$$fart that has no life and likes to make them self feel good or like there some script genius and can take down the grid usually just finding humor in there own action of annoyment

I say we go back to the $10 basic accounts... I paid it, so did others... and if implemented again, so will others... A one time start-up fee for unlimited game play is by no means unreasonable. basically its like paying 10 bucks to buy the game, and then playing it free forever.

Have you guys heard of pre-paid credit cards i use one to purchase stuff onlie just because i dont want ppl bein ablr to link back to my main acct! You can goto just about any bank and get them for like 5 bucks and load them with however much you want!! So pay for a basic once NO!! Just instead of blastin LL help them out report he acttacks make a physical logg on you pc and encourage everybody else to do so then when you call a linden to help fix problems they will have a record and abuse # to look at in the sytems!! Trust me it works!! Been there done that with a annoyin lil prick that was bein just that a annoyin lil prick, I imed Lucy Linden and she came and handled the situation!! AND HE want the annoyin lil prick any more in fact i havent seen him around anymore!!!!!! So just give up on helpin them with brainstormin ideas and help them by giving them something to work with!!! Im sure they are payin ppl a large amount of money to test the security of the game and such!! What i think should be done is hell track the IP address and lock that damn thing from bein able to log into the system its got to be possible!!

First off, if your as smart as you think you are, why do you have numbers in your name? Thats why there are hundreds of last names, so no one has to use numbers... *waits for something about spys*

Secondly, if you were gonna join the game just to attack it, would you pay 15 bucks (10 for an account and 5 for the prepaid card) every time you wanted to attack it (after account baning and deletion).

These are debit cards, not credit cards. Linden Labs can distinguish debit from credit cards, and many companies don't accept debit cards online.

I totally do not agree with making people pay. I played tso since 2002 and payed the 10 bucks each month. Then the game got boring as all hell and I came to SL. I am working on a budget with RL money. And I play all games like that should be played (without cheating, buying money, etc...). I WORK in SL A lot. And Put A lot of time into the club that I work for and earn everything I get. Twice I have had a problem with SL, to where some of my belongings dissapear after they have been returned to me, when putting up a new house. Which that stuff was well worth around 20k all together. So that's a total of 40k. I have had a lot of frustrations in this game and have made many friends. In other words. I would be pretty steamed if they made people pay for a basic account. Honestly I wouldn't be able to play anymore. I was concidering upgrading my account, but when I heard a friend recently had to pay $75 to activate it again for a land fee, I was like Ummm no thanks, don't have that kinda money laying around to invest in a game.
