What is the worst crime in SL?

I'm curious, what do you think is the worst SL crime someone can commit?

I'm not talking about RL crimes like Denial of Services Attacks like bringing down the grid. I'm talking about crimes that do not extend outside of the simulated virtual reality of second life.

From your qualification, I'm not entirely sure if this counts, but in my book its breach of contract.

If my company puts time and effort into a project, we have no recourse if the client decides they just don't want it. Yeah, we have a build (which may or may not be completed) that we could resell on the open market, but many times its going to take months to even get close to recouping the amount of money we were supposed to get paid. And there ain't a damn thing to be done - not even an official arbitration or court system.

Past that, I'd say selling freebees, just cause its an ass thing to do.

that's a difficult problem cory. here is what i suggest when dealing with anonymous people without a solid contract. (i usually do this with my rl clients but not because of breach of contract but just because of the scope of work).

take a 10% retainer.

collect a quarter of the fee each time you complete that percentage of work. upon completion take the final 25% minus the retainer. this way you are getting paid for work along the way and the client is too financially vested in the project to screw you.

Attacks on the grid are the worst crime in SL, I'd say.

The worst crime is.. Using a view blocker on the impeach bush guy while he was putting up signs outside club lag next to the upskirt perverts house! The club owner saw him putting out the signs and used push on him which opened up PVP abuse, PROPELLING the impeach bush guy into a PG sim where he swoar his socks off at the yard sale he landed at, where they were selling a lot of freebies! As he dusted himself off he noticed that the landscape was all ugly and hodge podge and owned by J-wu's group who were getting the 10% land tier pyramid scam!

Intentionally saying/doing something abusive to someone else i.e. being a jerk (points at signature) that is who "their" refers too

I know someone who was a terminally ill cancer patient whose only life was here in SL and some jerk decided to go out of his way to abuse her verbally, she logged off crying. that was several weeks ago. She died since then. I just found out today. I have no job and need the little money I make here while I look for another, I can be a real B**** and stand up for myself- I can accept obnoxious builds next to me, thieves, I can mute people I dont want to hear, I can TP away from people I dont want to be around, but I will NEVER forgive or forget what one A****** did one day.

And that is a crime

Abuse is abuse, whether it happens online or face-to-face. I agree that this is the worst crime in SL. Anytime someone needs to feel good by hurting other people, sexually harassing them or verbally abusing them, that person is not only a very sad puppy who is in dire need of RL counselling, but also is committing a RL crime AND an sl crime. This is far far worse than any of the other suggestions in my opinion.

Also, grandstanding at someone else's event to prove how smart one is and how much better a person one is because one's entertainment isn't the event, but abusing the event host, that's also pretty low.

i was presented with the moral dilemma of putting a pecan pie option as is customary, and with consequently insinuating pecan pie coudl be a crime. it was perhaps the toughest decision i've ever faced in my life. i would never wish it on anybody!
