/me really wishes ppl would chill and stop whining about the delay, and the update, and the bugs.

Careful - the SLFACM (Second Life Forum Association of Constant Moaners) will make you look like the bad one for complaining about the moan-spam. Happened to me. (by a moaning mod, nonetheless)

I remember in TSO waiting around forever for them to like add a new chair or something. Never getting new clothes always haveing to wear the same avatar. I wouldnt care if sl was offline for a 2 days a week it would still be worth it over that.

Ahhh memories of TSO and the land of the Flat world they live in. Yes there were updates, and no they may not have had the problems but think about it. TSO is NO comparison to SL and the world of 3D. I played TSO for 3 years, but when I found SL there was no going back to the land of the FLAT sim. *sim being TSO's version of SL's avitar c(:
Oh and not to mention that you only had a few choices on how you could look. Walk into a room and see 20 people and you most likely will find at least 2 that look just like you and dress just like you...Won't find that in SL..

People played TSO? :P

Yeah, there were twelve of us. Ten technically, because two of us had more than one account, but don't let the greifer know about that.

now if i recall rightly TSO had a 1 hour per day downtime?
any updates they made took a few hours?

exactly how does that equal better as it would still be roughy the same amount of time in downtime per week heh.
besides you also have to take into account that SL has many many more servers to update compared to TSO how many there still 10?

I believe there were two cities that stayed up when they updated, one because that's where they tested the update, and one because it was intened for Asian players so it was on a different scedule.

This made me go look at their message board...same as when I left, no update in months, and Maxis denying rumors it's shutting down. Same as always.
I hated that. There were around 50 faces, and a limit of around 20 people in a house. They all pick the same 3 faces. It made it hard on the host.
