well they use cd's and not a downloads. this is alot more complicated then TSO

i played, they updated roughly once a month or every 6 weeks not weekly and you could still play in the meantime

TSO also wasn't similar at all in design to Second Life. The only reason you can draw a parallel is the emergent social metagames that arose from TSO's populace.

Oh man, good 'ol TSO. I visited a month or two ago, and nothing has changed since I left (2 years ago-ish). I left 3 years ago. Since then, they got generic pets, "jobs" and the ability to break stuff. After said stuff was broken, you could harvest the materials and make the same generic stuff everyone and their mother can "make". Oh, and I almost left out being able to change clothes. Wheeeeee!  |

now if i recall rightly TSO had a 1 hour per day downtime?
any updates they made took a few hours? exactly how does that equal better as it would still be roughy the same amount of time in downtime per week heh. besides you also have to take into account that SL has many many more servers to update compared to TSO how many there still 10? |
