Speaking of sandboxes and Copper Surface, I met Copper Surface in a sandbox!

And what a wonderful and helpful resident he is, too!

Sad.... so sad.

Is this really the future we want?

Not me.

The sandboxes have been the best place to meet interesting people ive found. More than anywhere else in SL.

I remember a similar thread about the clutter inside the curent sandboxes and that it might be good for LL to setup some more. After that Torley flattened out the sim borders to make more space. Someone suggested a good solution there too. Delete the stuff of that avatar if they have not been present in the sandbox in the last hour.

Well. This problem is par for the course, and one of the reasons people have asked for offline building for a good, long time.

And why people like me and this guy decided to do something about it. ;)

Woo-hoo! Thanks for the link. I'll try them out later..... This should be interesting! :p

I guess it wouldn't be overly difficult to code a "return stuff to inventory" as soon as someone leaves the sandbox, in any form?

I'm glad i don't use public sandboxes. I can imagine how many problems you guys have with griefers. I got enough of them poping up in the sim i reside in. When i need a huge open canvas to work, i usually take it to the sky and res a 50sq m Platform.

In most cases a 50 sq m is plenty big enough.

Unfortunately for the project I am currently experimenting on, I need a sim-length strip (although only about 10m wide x 10m high), of flat clear space... something that isn't easily found in the normal sandboxes.

Yes, "buy an island", I know... but what I am doing is preparatory work to see if everything I wish to achieve *can* be achieved, and as these things are a majorly important part of my dream, their success will be a contributing factor in whether or not I do take the plunge for a low prim island. There's no point in losing my good land and spending lots more money for something that isn't going to work, is it?

I can kinda understand this...unless you make a box and send yourself 600m in the air at a sandbox there are creepers that walk up to you..maybe shoot you a little..maybe push you..and ask for money...yeah its annoying and wish it wasnt always that way..
but thats life..make a box and up go 600/700 meters to peace n quiet :D
