scripts ARE the games. There's gotta be some kinda RPG script out there, too.. right? Or coming soon in the fixes LL will bring in future versions to scripts. Edit: I run a small (but profitable) ORPG (Online Role Playing Game) myself, but I don't play it often. I manage it, program it and release updates to it, and manage its server, but I don't play it. I go and play Second Life. Now, we come here not for an RPG, but for a chatroom. Which is why I have gone from Worlds (I still love you, Worlds!  ) to There to Second Life, without getting glued to an RPG too long between those. They really are great because the community isn't driven by who's best, but who's nicest. Like all RPGs, it will just corrupt the community and it WILL NOT be a chatroom any longer. It will cease to be its glorious self. |

go play There.com,lol, they have quests, or TSO, and have to run your virtual self to the bathroom every 15 minutes,lol

I completely agree that Second Life will -not- be the metaverse that changes the internet. It will come, but it will come open source. I couldn't imagine having to pay 1000$ and then 200 a month for a website WITHOUT the alternative of setting one up yourself.

From: Jimmy Bedlam I will encourage anybody, even my own kids, to explore online worlds and games as i don't buy into the 'negatives' often portrayed in the media... i only see the 'positives'... i see the future, but SL will fade into insignificance unless Linden can provide the magic and adventure that we crave. Don't we come with that magic and adventure installed? Mine is hardwired in. . . SL gives us the tools to make beauty and you can too if you want to without ever rezzing a single prim.
