Has anyone heard back from the Lindens about this issue?
Will they fix it or are we redoing all our menus??
Do we need to make a vote proposal?

I agree that something to identify was needed... What I am refering to is the half-ass implemented things being handed to us. Your going to honestly look at this implementation & say it was tested thoroughly before being put in? As I, & many others personally see it, a more vigorous testing phase should be done before actual implementation of "features". simple... i fully agree, to my knoledge i never heard "you guys arnt patching fast enugh, hurry up and slap in some post-it note features and give them something else for them to bitch at us about" seems silly |

If we don't march on 'em and make 'em move the source info (I say beside the ignore button) then I assure you, we're re-doing all our menus. How about an interesting form of protest. We have the URL to the vote proposition in our menus? maybe just the main menu so we arent too spammy. Or have one of the buttons call up the vote proposals page so our customers/users can vote easilly. .... (Fix Menu) Click here to have the menus fixed. ... |

I was thinking, though, more simply of a thread in features where we just all voice our disdain for the present implementation, then when we've a good collection, a post to answers to call attention to it. Then we start bug reporting it. ![]() _____________________

Thumbs down to this feature. We didn't ask for it, it wasn't discussed or previewed, and it just adds clutter to the primary standard interface for script data input.
Better idea: Put the owner info in some pop up... maybe have a tiny little "O" in the corner of the dialog box where you could click for sender / object info. BAD Linden Lab! Bad dog! _____________________

When SL becomes the metaverse, this infringement of our right to free speech via scripting will go to the Supreme Court and be reverse. I guarantee. _____________________
Furthermore, as Second Life goes to the Metaverse, and this becomes an open platform, Linden Lab risks lawsuit in court and [attachment culling] will, I repeat WILL be reverse in court. Second Life Forums: Who needs Reason when you can use bold tags? |

The previous implementation was a massive security issue, if you'd like to know how, IM me for details. It was absolutely necessary. However, that being said, perhaps "Script Dialog" could be removed from the top.. that seems a bit redundant now. Also, the dialog could hang a little lower on the screen possibly. You guys are going off on a tangent about how LL has wronged you with this change, and how it was pointless, yet you are ignoring the reasons it was done. I can think of many ways the old version could have been maliciously abused. This was a needed change. |

I can think of many ways the old version could have been maliciously abused. This was a needed change. We weren't wronged by the idea, we were wronged by the implementation. 1. Remove "Script Dialog:" (and change the icon if neccessary). 2. Move the owners name and object name to line 1. 3. Remove the blank line. Then we have satisfied the concerns of both views on this issue. Problem solved. |

What should such fellows as I do crawling between earth and heaven? We are arrant knaves, all; believe none of us.

Already fixed? I guess we'll see. Hurrah! Also: * Resolved an issue where a updates to a complex object would sometimes cause linked prim to disappear. ... I wonder if this also relates to the textures-not-updating-on-complex-object bug? _____________________
