Was at town hall with philip
shouted out "WHAT IS THE OFFICIAL LL POSITION ON PIE?"
normally i don't chat much during town halls, but since this was a voice chat, it didn't seem to matter
after my pie question, i was logged out by an "administrator"
I tried to relog and was informed I was on an hour "time out"
not sure what rule in the TOS that I violated. Any help would be appreciated.
(remember, the audio stream was town hall focus. this was not a "no cross talk event" as the audio was the focus, so i did not disrupt the audio stream, nor did i play the 60 second long "Hey Ya" like someone else did)
resmods are just the beginning. welcome to the New InWorld Order!
FIC was smoke and mirrors for the NIO

There is no reason.. and I actually agree with a rather contraversial residents comments.. Linden labs should never have done the audio format the way they have. Maybe they should have answered some of the questioned they solicited for soem time ago as well? Yeah -that- happened.

So they were dishing out both pie-in-the-sky and humble pie? We need a good pie-in-the-face scripted object for the next town hall.

and after the last town hall with philip, how can anyone reasonably expect there to be a problem with asking questions out loud?
(if u missed last town hall with philip, philip blew off the questions sent to jeska and the ones that were posted on the forums in favor of answering questions screamed out at him out of turn. refer to the log, I was there in hooch form and was very quiet, asking my question to jeska. my question was ignored in favor of people yelling out questions)
can anyone explain WTF just happend today?
then tell me what the hell happened to the Laboratory?

Mulch, I would venture a guess, you were put on administrative leave! Maybe they were afraid your outburst would start a chain reaction that would create all out war, the WWIIer's to appear and blast everyone into next week. Perhaps they were fearful for Philips AV life. You can't just go around yelling out those things about pie! Where do you think you live, America?

I think LL is just finally sick of morons trying to get attention at townhalls by shouting out supposedly "clever" crap to divert the focus from the townhall, or the matter at hand, to themselves. In years past they've done it by shouting out similarly inane but supposedly "witty" exclamations, or by simply sitting right next to Philip infront of the crowd. Since it obviously didn't work at the townhall, now you're trying to do it here. Hopefully this thread will bring you the other half of your 15 minutes of fame. Shame you didn't get it all out of your system at the townhall. Oh, right. I forgot. Random insertions of the word "pie" are supposed to be funny. I'll make a note of that.

Oh, right. I forgot. Random insertions of the word "pie" are supposed to be funny. I'll make a note of that. again, what rule was it that was violated? you quote me like you are responding, but you are just launching into some sort of personal attack did you omnipotence attend the last town hall where no questions were answered from forums or submitted properly to jeska? only the ones yelled out were answered. hmmm i was there, but did i disrupt that one? nope or the one before that or the one before that nope it was an audio chat, not a text chat oh yeah, you are the elder pinnacle of maturity. why cant we all act like adults while dressed as robots, vampires, pirates, and furries? give me a break

You were trying to get attention at the expense of the townhall. You were disruptive.
If you wish to continue, move on into your diatribe about how you were *really* trying to get LL's opinion on pie.
I suppose yelling out childish crap at a townhall to get the spotlight is somehow now "adult" and "mature".
How would you have your townhall conducted? Everyone gets to yell out whatever the hell they want, at any time, as often as they like? (Or does that freedom only apply to you?) Like the idiots asking Philip if there were "any new anal options", at the last TH? That was just incredibly LOL as well.
Yeah, sounds awesome.
Grow up. You acted like a child and got sent to sit in the corner for it.

Allow me to intervine your shouting, Michi, yes he was disruptive, but he felt, and possibly rightly so that the punishment was a little harsh, teleporting him out of the sim or banning him fromt he area would've been sufficient punishment. With warning at the beginning of course that this would happen to people disrupting the talk.
And yes, funny as it may have been as a question, maybe you should've asked it through official channels. Not shouted it out like that, so it counts as being disruptive.
Of course these are my personal views, I'm not a linden, nor am I philip Linden, just appplying (albiet very tired right now) common sense from what I've read here.

From: Michi Lumin You were trying to get attention at the expense of the townhall. You were disruptive. where are the rules spelt out about this? see, the last town hall, questions submitted properly were ignored people who shouted out were rewarded with their questions answered did i miss a posted rule that distinguished this town hall from the other? oh yeah tha audio thing, where you could hear the town hall so chat was not neccesary that was a key difference

i hear you and can relate, but enforcing a rule that doesn't exist and was actually rewarded last town hall is absurdity
