Emphasis on the team effort, more than one resmod doing the job.   Which would still give them the time to "play hall monitors", due to the unfortunate fact that while most people can control themselves most of the time, some people can only control themselves some of the time.

It's a good idea for something to do other than randomly pingpong threads. This one, for instance, should've been moved to the resmod forum the first time a resmod posted to it. Of course it wouldn't get any exposure there would it.
Do the resmods resmod all of the forums though. I'd see this more as a service of pointing out threads that are posted, or moved, to obscure forums that nobody ever reads. That, I think, is the primary reason that people complain when their threads are moved. Who has the time to read through thirty-seven (excluding archives, internationals and groups) forums a day?
What might be more useful is to consolidate everything back to general and just literally hardnosedly DELETE each and every stupid, useless, and nonconstructive thread. HA! Imagine that.
