Actually. the new Camera and Parcel Flags will make my life a little easier and more interesting as I remake all my crap from the Pre 1.7 days.
Hopefully border crossing will be smoother-ish.
And if we're all lucky... nothing will fracture usability as we know it.
(Yes, dumbasses, the Permissions cleanup was changed back.)

yeah me too. usually it sucks the first few days after an update, but from reading forum threads by people with more knowledge than I, it's sounding almost catastrophic.

It could mean the end of all communications. We'll have to use gestures for sign language.

I predict lots of single fingered gestures.

They're giving us per-finger animation? Sweet!

Ok misunderstanding - I though you were calling ME a dumbass.

But will the disaster be related to smoking cock? One can only hope.

Personaly the only issue I have with 1.9 is the Really Huge white arrow heads on the inventory window.

Seriously, whats wrong with + and -?

Prepare yourselves for the worst and commit suicide now to prevent later pain!

Because jumping from 1.8 to 2.0 wouldn't make any sense! :p

Did Susie say that 1.9 won't support the Suicide Girls?

They seem to have disappeared with less commotion than they arrived. I haven't seen one logged in for ages.

I'd heard that many of them were complaining on their blogs that the game was 'too hard' ...

Faster and safer teleports, as well as a massive invisible backend update that makes sure that the grid will not implode in the next 2 years.

* You can now attach objects (via rez-from-inventory and attach-from-world) to attachment points that already have an attached object

This alone makes it worthwhile. No more trying to decide between wings, a necklace, a furry avatar or pierced nipples! I can have them all! *looks at spine attachment point as it quivers in anticipation of all the extra work*

I think it is the 'massive invisible backend update' part that has all of us who do enterprise lvl app server work worried. ;)

and it starts... Stay patient folks, I'm sure the back end changes will make things better, but anytime you make those sorts of changes hitting production is painful.

Yup, I think this is going to be a nightmare. That's my gut feel

They should have stayed on for more testing on preview.

I've personally decided to go fully schizophrenic and let my avatar run around on my home machine throwing fits about SL being down while my RL persona will get some work done I've been putting off for weeks.
