It's amazing, for once the announcement happens first!
There really, really should be some kind of status indicator and MOTD on the SL login screen. I think every MMORPG does that because it's a really good idea!

For two days in a row before the grid came down the Lindens had already posted up an announcement in game (while the world is loading) that SL would be down for maitenence and that a new viewer would be required, if you ignored this message while logging in then its all on you.  Sorry if this comes off as terse but thats the truth. |
