Sometimes it does and sometimes it takes longer than expected. Usually they will post an update in the Linden announcement forums

Does anyone have the address of the Status page to see when it's up again? Trying to go to the main page redirects me to /status/ which is 404.

That's exactly what I thought but it's damn scary. The person told me about 3 or 2 months ago she was sick. Then didn't log in for weeks. Then one day she logged and said she was STILL sick, then we never had any news anymore, ever. I had her real life email so I emailed her to ask what is going on, if she was all right, and never got a reply.
At some point I thought she was dead. She owns a shops and everything.

So well lemme tell you, if all this is because she is a Linden, it's the lamiest thing ever.
To make people sad and worried like that... Makes no sens to me.

Thank you, yes it's working now. I've never tried it before so when it was 404 I thought perhaps there was a new one, because it said that the site has been changed and some pages moved. It seems it was just down for a few minutes then.

Trying to log in every 30 secs is a great way to make sure there's a delay in the return of the grid.

Please read the Linden announcements and try to log in at times when the grid is up and running. Trying to log in at other times, you're just taking away from the CPU cycles and bandwidth Lindens need to get the updates done.

Honestly, historically speaking - The grid seems to come back online after an update *later* than expected much more often than it does *earlier* than expected.

I wouldn't even make an attempt to get in before 12:00pm PST (about 2 hours from now), unless some sort of official Linden announcement is made.
