does any one know where the angry ant is? I can not find it in the find places search.

I heard it got blocked off by a griefer with really big walls. When complained to about it, he/she said something about making an ant farm.

No it did not. There is one wall on one side of it. It was NOT a grief build. Don't you know that what you said is exactly how rumors get started?

The guy who put the wall made it a nice landscape in his side, and transparent on the Angry ant's side, which isn't at all against the TOS. He just thought the angry ant building is ugly, and he is perfectly on his right to think so.

The day after he put the wall, he started getting extremely unpolite and harassing IMs, from up to 7 different people.

Plus, the ant farm he built is actually a nice looking building

Summary: not everyone in the forums speaks the truth, don't listen to rumours. There are always two sides in a story.

Something I like about the Angry Ant is how there are big, stylized signs indicating different areas of the club. They look like custom texturess.

I can ideed show you where it is, it is listed in the find menu under mature areas, the textures are indeed custom by the very talented Allison Andric, and as for the wall, it was a simple misunderstanding that went to far and isn't really worth the time to type out. And I dont think the club is ugly. I think the many "Box" style clubs are ugly =)

Well Joe and I have both visited the club.. and I remember Joe saying "Heart you have to see this club, one day I hope we can be as great at textures as this club" I went and at first it took me a bit to see what he saw, cuz it was rezzing, but honestly... the use of textures, and the complimentary colors are so nice. I suppose though, to know anything about complimentary colors you'd need to know that yellow looks best with purple, and red with green and such and such... anyhow, from an artists point of view the build is really cool looking, it's not a classic castle, it's not a modern day house or a normal mall with a roof and lots of shoppes, it's a club, with different textures, different shapes and an open roof. Some of the cool little extras they have there make it a fun place to go see and look at. People there were always nice and friendly when I went, and Joe and I loved the music they played.
I do not think rumors are very nice, and perpetuating any of them are not good. So, here's my good opinion on a club that just got bashed a bit unfairly.
Everyone has their own tastes in style... those who think the build is ugly, probably don't wear our shoes, and if they don't well then.. you don't have very good taste, cuz our shoes r0x0r, and people with good taste wear our shoes

I'm not saying that the angry ant is ugly or not

I reserve my personal opinion over this club (and frankly, I think no one should care whether I like it or not, lol).

What I'm saying is that this guy thought the club was ugly and gave him a bad view from his property. He then blocked that view, only from his side. I don't see what he did wrong.

i don't go to many dance clubs, but the angry ant is one of the very few i keep coming back to. lovely people and build

whether it's your style or not, you can tell some time was put into it and it is well run, with hosts that make you feel welcome.

I went over to the Angry Ant today to have a look at that wall... and actually, I think in a sense it does the Angry Ant a favor.. because it hides from Angry Ant the mix and match stuff on the other side that looks sorta like I don't know what, a castle, an unfinished boat, and an advertisement, among other little odd things placed out here and there. So perhaps this guy thought the club was ugly.. rofl, well obviously the Angry Ant is a "club", and looks like a club, and was there first, so he purchased land next door and built a wall and made a joke by calling the area beyond the wall the ant farm, so that you no longer can see the enterance to the club, except to walk through his property under the opening in that wall. It's really silly to think though that the wall did an injustice.. I mean, look at these photos, the top two are the angry ant, the bottom two the stuff on the other side... that stuff looks kinda messy and well.. an eye sore because it's just a jumble of stuff. At least they hid their stuff from the eyes of the people at Angry Ant. I wish the Lindens would sort this out, by zoning, if they had commercial areas and residential areas this would never happen. Anyways it was kind of rude in a sense, but I'm thankful the wall is there, so when I am at the Angry Ant, I don't have to see the adverts, and the unfinished boat and the other things over there.

Although my first recation to the first wall, and then the Ant Farm was that we were being insulted, I've so gotten over it and talked to Dook, who turns out to be a decent guy and an artist, so this whole thing was never worth the grief. So now your welcome to visit the Angry Ant, and The Ant Farm which I hear will be getting rides and other such attractions. And seeing as this is the 2nd or 3rd build of the club, if you still dont like the way it looks, check back in the near future. Its always subject to change according to what we like and need. And ty to Heart for all her kind comments. Its the comments from the people like her who come to the club that really matter most.

I'm happy to see that you guys sorted things out

btw, I'm the creator of the swinging ship. It is, of course, under construction (wow, it has ben under construction for 10 hours and already some people are complaining!

) And I sincerely hope the Lindens don't put any barriers upon things that are under construction hehehe. We are building an amusement park there, so it will naturally have a bit of everything.
