Yes, Email-2-IM works great and costs only L$20 You do need to put your friends names and key numbers in a note card in the cube before you can use it. When you rez the cube it gives you its email address. To use the Email-2-IM you send an email to the Cube with your friends name in the subject. The cube recieves the email and forwards it in an IM to your friend. Works great, there have been many times I have found it useful. _____________________

I don't see any pieces on the chessboard ... Per your signature, don't you mean to say "William Gibson"? _____________________

There once was a girl who wanted to help,
But she was far too busy letting out a yelp; Here Linden please come put and play, All I want to do is get my P90 and blow you away, She was in Caledon in front of the chess, trying to just talk without jumping, but twas a terrible mess. She ranted and raved and relogged three times, and finaly sent a note to live help that wasnt in rhymes It said some along the lines of please ban me, From the pleasure SL gives lately, her favorite phrase has become - "To be or not be" hope that helps ordinal its all I can do - I go back Inworld I will hunt down a Linden shoot them and get banned _____________________

Per your signature, don't you mean to say "William Gibson"? I would, but the person I quoted obviously knows better. And franky, so far SL does look like something from a bad hollywood movie ![]() _____________________

And franky, so far SL does look like something from a bad hollywood movie ![]() Lol that was funny -> http://www.grimwell.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1477 Second Life reminds me, a great deal, of the text based MUS* I used to play. Big environments in which you let players build whatever they want. They tend to vary in themes. I've seen Star Wars, Star Trek, Battletech, Discworld, Cartoon (various series or all mixxed together), Furry (this is what Furrymuck IS) and even completely unthemed MUS*. Second Life falls into the later "unthemed" category, as is interesting in that it is a fully 3D environment where, before, the introverted nerdity was confined strictly to text based form. Yet, to call Second Life mere introverted nerdity isn't entirely fair either - it's mainstream enough that checking out everybody's content has become a somewhat legitimate activity. It's sort of fascinating to look into the abyss... just take care it doesn't also look into you. My brother's been a Second Life addict for a long time now. He even met a real life girl friend online. They both have mental issues, so naturally I'm left feeling the entire game besuits those with mental issues. (That's not terribly fair, I don't think anyone on this thread has mental issues.) It's the only MMOG he'll play: he's afraid if he gets involved in another MMOG he won't have time for his friends on Second Life. I suspect he could use an intervention, but he's not the kind to take such interfrance gladly, and besides I may just be intruding on the one thing he finds interesting in life. I've steered clear of the game strictly because I'd rather be playing games rather than get mired down in big virtual communities. If Mel Gibson and other cyberspace writers are right, one day the entire internet will be like Second Life. LOL |

If Mel Gibson and other cyberspace writers are right, one day the entire internet will be like Second Life. And presumably run by Jews as well. I've just dug out the Telephone, and I will take a look at the ancient script within to check that it's okay, and put the final version into a dispenser of some sort. Er, dammit, forgot all about the limerick.... |
