Goreans: a clarification

Tal!

Regular readers of these forum pages may have noticed something of a hostility from me towards certain members of the Second Life community, namely Goreans.

However, recent events force me to issue a clarification. Comments such as "those sickos should be lined up against the wall and shot" and "those nutters should be locked in a terraced house in Darlington" were misplaced and I wholeheartedly retract them.

During my recent three-day enforced forum hiatus, I left the house for the first time in several weeks and decided to pay a visit to the De Trafford Arms hostelry in the beautiful village of Alderley Edge. Inside this pub, I noticed a group of people at a corner table who beckoned me across to join them. Bemused at this unusual display of sociability in what is usually a rather reserved place, I sat amongst them.

This group of Goreans took me under their wing and almost immediately accepted me as one of their own. I am now living in the basement of a house in Pott Shrigley and allowed access to the forums only when my Master deems it acceptable. I accept my public humiliation, whipping and daily punishment beatings as simply a part of my new life as a slave.

Be well,
rusholme Malone.

They're not all bad. Just some of them are real jerks. But then again, we have them in every social group in SL.

Rusholme is now likely only permitted to partake of his or her Master's fount.

Because Goreans drink pee, and that's funny.

Clarification?
07-14-2006 13:02
How is this a clarification other than confirming that preditors are out there preying on people and making them believe that hate and beating are love and kindness.

I was hoping that your post was going to uproot my opinion, but it has only made it stronger.

If you have such a low opinion of yourself fine.. but PLEASE don't try to tell others that beating and hate is good for ANYONE else. :(

I hope that boy's Master approved that boy's post before that boy posted it. Otherwise, there will be spankings.

Nah, spankings are just to limber you up. You know you're in trouble when Master pulls out the razor strop. :(

Just how -did- you sneak that knife into the womb anyway. Good thing your eyes weren't formed yet or I would be a 'Janice.'

One of SL's great draws
07-14-2006 18:10
One of the things that make SL so good is the ability of dedicated SLers to "bring to life" focused, themed, social groups and their fully realized 3D environments. Be it Gor, The world of Anne Rice's "Beauty" or Richard Adams "Watership Down". Bringing to life our fantasies for the win.

Goreans seem ok overall, though I've never personally experienced the type of anti-furry discrimination I've heard about. I have two Gor couples/clusters/whatevers living next to me. One neighbour is quite friendly and even gave me a tour of their home one evening. The other neighbour is a major prick who had a security orb in his skybox (right across from mine, which is actually public) that encroached on my land. Finally got that taken care of with Linden assistance, he hasn't spoken to me since.

Well, it's to be expected. They extreamly roleplay heavy, so unless you fit something that is plausable in their world, you won't be welcomed. Thing about gors is that they don't take that outside of their roleplay community. They won't decriminate you if you are a robot, or something like that if it's not taking place within their community.
