According to a Linden that I spoke to on Live Help, the Lindens will not remove "Prim Litter" from someone's land "unless it is explicitly requested by the land owner or a land group officer if the land is group owned". That's just plain stupid, because if one IS the land owner or an officer in the land group, they can delete it or return it themselves!
One of my homes is on group-owned land, and while I am a member of the group, I'm not a group officer. Some moron left prims right in front of my front door, one of which was rather offensively shaped. I AR'r the pseudo-newbie twice (no real newbie, less than 14 days in-world, could have made the offensive shape that was on the lawn). I called live help, and they looked but flatly refused to remove the junk. I had to IM Spam my group officers to get someone to remove it the next time they logged in.

From: Luthien Unsung I have been informed that Liason's are no longer able to remove rogue prims. I am not willing to wait weeks:/ Well THAT sucks. LL needs to hire some dang janitors!

Live Help might have created such a policy to protect themselves. It's not stupid if it keeps them from returning/deleting objects and builds that may actually be legitimate. I don't blame them one iota for putting the responsibilty on the actual land owner. That's why those tools EXIST! And before you say "oh, please, it's obvious it was litter... blah.. blah...", how can they really be so sure? It would be a much greater problem if Live Help took action based on the sole complaint of a single resident who doesn't even have authority over the land in complaint!

In the past I've used the abuse reporting mechanism to have messes like this cleaned up, when more diplomatic approaches have failed. It's actually been a somewhat reliable solution, a notable departure from LL's generally dismal record of reliability. To whichever specific Linden takes care of the property cleanup, I give my compliments.

From: Luthien Unsung lol! I saw yesterday's MOTD stated LL were looking to hire some new people, praps this is the role? They usually are looking for high level techie people, not people to clear up things like prim litter. It's a task I have volunteered for, and despite the appearance that there is a desperate need for help in this area, I was told that basically everything is fine and we don't need any help. How can it truly be a 'player created world' when they turn down and ignore the players requests for help and to help? Lewis

Can anyone suggest anything here?
Well as part of the Lothlorien Group and whose home it is invading, i would like to poke some eyes out with a sharp schtick! It has been 24hours since it was first discovered! Several abuse reports have been sent, how many abuse reports do we need to send in? Can anyone here tell me how long does it usually take for Linden Lab to act on them? :

From: Arwen Scholten Can anyone here tell me how long does it usually take for Linden Lab to act on them?: I get back acknowledgements of AR's that are so old I've forgotten what the reason was for reporting them. Assuming, of course, that they are actually acknowledged properly; I get auto replies but rarely proper answers. Thank you for contacting Second Life Technical Support. Your question regarding xxxxxxxxxxxxx has been received. Inquiries received during working hours will likely receive a very quick response; inquiries received after hours or on the weekend might have a wait a bit longer, probably until the next business day. Your request has been assigned an ID of xxxxxxxxxxxx. That was sent at 10am game time yesterday, so who knows when I may get a reply. The sad thing about problems like your errant prims is that it would take a Linden perhaps 2 minutes to come over, identify that they don't belong to anyone connected to either of the plots of land they are overlapping, and return them, solving not only your problem but also reducing the workload for more complex abuse reports. According to some recent post, Liaisons are no longer allowed to return overhanging prims. Apparently, LL doesn't trust the judgment of their employees, either.

Sad but it kinda gives that impression. Thank you everyone for all your help, I am happy to report the offending prims have now gone by what means I am not sure, but I am sure everyones AR's that were sent in were a big help! Please feel free to ask me to reciprocate at anytime! )

From: Introvert Petunia Which raises the question: incompetence or very clever marketing ploy?
At least you are happy. i HAVE wondered about that also, but since i honestly wanted an island all along, it worked out for the best.
