I have caught myself thinking the phrase LOL and LMAO when in RL conversations. Fortunately I haven't actually said "LOL" YET in RL. Grin.
I told this to an SL friend who described having an SL dream in her RL dream life. The whole dream was "in character" in SL. Wow, I thought. How interesting! I wonder if this is a common or rare occurence.
Soooo...
I ask the question:
Has your avatar crossed the line and invaded your RL dreams? If so, will you share your dream with us?

I've dreamed of SL avatars... mainly girls... but my avatar is generally not included.

I've only had one SL dream, but I have had one, which is pretty weird. I can only remember a snatch of it, but I was working on some new robot and I remember Torley drifting by, but we didn't say anything to eachother. And that's all I remember. But, yeah, it was strange, because I was Enabran and not my fleshed, human self in this dream. It was third-person, too, but some of my dreams are that way anyway. Great thread.

Seriously though - my dreams usually take the 'viewpoint' of what I've been doing a lot of - especially if I spend too long doing it and cross into sleep deprivation.
I've had dreams consisting of nothing but 68k Assembly code scrolling down a screen..
Actually they were pretty cool.

Actually they were pretty cool. Seriously? That's crazy. I felt kind of weird sharing mine, but I guess that makes sense. I was spending literally every free hour on that damned robot. I'm glad I didn't dream of pages and pages of LSL, though.

From: Phoenix Psaltery That is just wrong on soooooo many different levels. P2 And its also very true - one of my few serious posts. And to tell the truth - it was rather calming... just every single thing expressed in assembly code.

I have dreamed as Felicity, but it seemed to happen more when I used to host Tringo. I would Tringo in my sleep. Since quitting the hosting gig, I still dream every once in a while as Felicity but I can't go into specifics since this is a PG forum . And I too catch myself almost saying lol in real life. That's when I know I spend waaaaaaaaaay too much time instant messaging.

I quite often have dreams that float in and out of SL, or incorperate avatars or prim objects.. If I've been playing SL a lot..
However, more worrying I find at the time, is looking at furniture/buildings/objects in RL and thinking "OMG how many prims is that?!?" or "how did they get that shape?".. And looking at plywood things and thinking it hasn't been textured yet..

I dreamed more about TSO, I think. I can't remember an SL dream, but I might just be forgetting. I think it's probably cause I am so "real world" when I'm doing TSO, doing actual building, which is very real, whereas in TSO, it was more like a fantasy world.

I had one where I was sucked into SL and became my avatar. And there were huge sea monsters in the water. I pulled out my Seburos and starting shooting at them and was cursing to myself for not buying a shield. Then I summoned one of my own big sculptures and they started wrestling the monsters. This became the background as more people started saying they were trapped it the game. A crowd began to form, people were arguing and panicking. And I jumped off a cliff and flew away.

I would find myself looking around and building 1st life items in my head. Trying to work out what prims to use. It became a little too much the day I was talking to somebody and seeing prims in their face. I'm over that now! Honestly!! <--- hmm, a large yellow sphere, a cut torus and a two small black spheres.

I haven't had a dream that was supposed to be taking place inside SL, that I recall, but I used to have dreams where I would do SL type stuff in the real world. Creating buildings, teleporting, flying, losing my car while speeding across the Nevada-California border. Haven't had one for a long time now though.

SL Dream
01-18-2006 05:35
*Hmmms* I dreamt that Hamlet Linden came to me in complete interview mode late at night while I was asleep in my SL home and asked me why I wear glasses. I stood up to my full height (over twice as tall as my 8' SL self) and said,"Its so I can see you from here". I read the bar code numerals in the cover of his notebook as proof I could see then the alarm went off. Painless Black Wolf / IW as Painless Kawabata
...Here for the Dawn...
