Necro I kinda understand, I've started to read a couple only to realise they were old leftovers... But so what, it wasn't the end of the world...
Get rid of post count? integer postcount = 0? I guess I don't really see this as a big deal or the end of the world... Then again I'm usually against most enforced constraints and regulations, maybe it's just me... I fail to see how... (Logan's brain shuts down because he realises just how unimportant the entire topic is to him) Why is the necro sort of understandable? What is wrong with reading a thread that hasn't been responded to for over some arbitrary period of time? Why in the world should people be constrained to responding only to threads that suit someone else's sense of how long a thread should be allowed to go unresponded to before it gets answered? People still read all sorts of old material, like the Iliad and the Odyssey, the Sherlock Holmes stories. Humans search out information from long long before the existence of humans. The ability to remember the past and project into the future is one of the things that separates humans from animals. The anti-necroposters don't like people bringing up old threads that show how poorly behaved and unclear thinking they were in the past, or that bring to light refutations of the anti-necroposters' ideas, or that involve accounts they used to have that got closed because of violations of the TOS, CS, and FG. Posts that aren't closed are available for response. That is the official word from the principal forum moderator Jeska Linden.
