While Jeska and thee new Mod's try to find their niche, I would like to make the following suggestions to clean up some of the worthless tirades and trivial look at me post that litter these forums.
I propose two changes:
- Make a rule against necro-posting
- Get rid of the post counter for individual postings.
Some people here think thousands upon thousands of post is some kind of badge of honor to be congratulated. I find it to be post whoring pure and simple
I'm sure many of the post whores won't like to see there hard work go away. Perhaps instead of a counter there could be a title called Post Whore or Waste of Bandwidth. This would be more appropriate especially if the community could vote people into these titles.

I think you'd be better served by looking at posts per day, Mr. F.
We don't all think like you Flavian. You may think that post count affects the behavior of those who have a high count because they happen to have been around for years, but that doesn't mean we are all similarly logically and socially challenged. Cid's been doing that for a while, or did you miss that? I dunno, I think it'll be neck and neck, but probably favoring Zap... I mean, Cid's a sprinter, and will make his pace up in long strides... Necro I kinda understand, I've started to read a couple only to realise they were old leftovers... But so what, it wasn't the end of the world... Get rid of post count? integer postcount = 0? I guess I don't really see this as a big deal or the end of the world... Then again I'm usually against most enforced constraints and regulations, maybe it's just me... I fail to see how...
