Do you want Property Lines to stay ON across sessions of SL?

It's a simple question, and I really want to hear your answer. :)

Currently in SL, when you press Ctrl-Alt-Shift-P or select VIEW ---> PROPERTY LINES, this enables Property Lines--red lines which show where parcels are divided. Relogging, however, will turn them off again. In other words, the Properly Lines are not persistent across sessions.

Some Residents have expressed an interest in pushing Ctrl-Alt-Shift-P once, and then having the setting STICK. In other words, no P-Line amnesia: when it's on--it stays on!

This may seem a big poll for a "small" thing, but it's quite interrelated, and your opinion matters!

So...

YES!

(I thought it was just me, because I've been programmed by SL to believe every problem I have is just me :D)

But YES! I want property lines to stay on from log in to log in.

I think all settings should be persistent from session to session, why not property lines as well. Yes.

Definitely yes. When I build, I typically go through phases where I'll built for a week, then not for a month or so. During that week, its VERY handy to have it on.

Every single setting should carry over from session to session, property lines included. I always have it on. If, as it was suggested, it creates more lag, then the focus should be on making land lines that don't lag, not on making the user experience even more cumbersome than it already is.

For anyone who voted "No", why do you feel this way?

I voted yes. I use that setting quite a bit. But to be honest, i would rather they left the little camera control on when you relog. I use that far more for building.

Nothing should be persistent accross sessions, not even our inventory or linden balance.

Of course the property lines settings should be persistent across settings. I am a libertarian, I always want to see property boundaries. When the rules that govern how I am supposed to act change, I'd like to know, so I can avoid doing anything that violates someone's rights. Knowing where property lines are is a big help in doing so.

I'd like to have a field displayed somewhere that always tells me whose property I am on.

Actually I couldn't care less, but it's something that people seem to want.

For anyone who voted "No", why do you feel this way?

1. I only ever turn property lines on occasionally, and I find them rather irritating, but I'm also very absent-minded, so I often forget to turn them off and would prefer not to be greeted with them when I log in again.

2. Contrariness.

cus im stoopid :D kidding lol

I voted no because unless I am dividing up land I don't realy use that function. I use it sometimes when I'm planting trees. Those are about the only times. I don't need it to stay on forever. As long as I can turn it off, which is sounds like I can either way is fine with me. It was just a personal preference :) Would be fine if it became a feature, I'm sure others would appreciate it.

I like to keep them on (especially now that the big Tulip hunt is going down ;))

But it's nice for them to stay on when I'm building and lose connection, it's a PITA to keep turning them back on now that I have to press 4 keys to turn it on :p

I voted it didn't matter, but I can appreciate why someone would want them turned off for new users who accidentally turn them on.

I'm for every setting being persistent from session to session.

Personally I don't care. HOWEVER, I would like it to go back to simply 'P' to see property lines.

I voted No for the same reason as above.

Although maintaining settings across sessions is a very good point. Maybe three options:

1) Turn off property lines
2) Turn on property lines until I quit SL
3) Turn on property lines until I turn them off.

Not sure why this is a big deal. It's not like they're very difficult to turn on/off, but I do support going back to just "P" instead of Ctrl-Alt-Shift-P.

Yes, but the #1 thing I wish would stay ON is the camera controls! Goodness sakes.

NO.

But I DO wish 'camera controls' would stay on!
