I never cared for being forced to fly 900 meters, getting stuck in flying houses that rezzed in my path, just to go to a shop. When I want to explore I hop in my hot air balloon and just lazily float across the landscape looking for kool stuff.

Same here. We keep a hot air balloon out for leisurely explorations and thoroughly enjoy it. There's even been times we never made it to our original destination because we ended up landing at several things along the way.

Still, it's great having P2P as well. If you want to get somewhere fast, boom, you're there. If you want to explore there's a myraid ways of doing it.

But unlike exploring by balloon, with P2P you don't have to worry about player trap telehubs, hovering signs, skyboxes, security devices and blocked parcels.

So yes to P2P and yes to leisurely explorations by balloon, boat, car or plane...

I find that I am more willing to check out a store or build i see in anothers picks since popping over to see it is so easy and fast now. Before teleporting, losing attachments, waiting for the rezz and flying a distance was a deterrent.

One aspect of P2P that I think needs ironign out is when you choose to tp to a sim using its name. You end up in the center point of the sim which has often been for me a place where I arrive unannounced inside someones house, or become trapped inside a wall or build, without knowing how to exit, or perhaps land underwater.

Other than that I love P2P!

The land value didn't go down near the telehubs. Some people think a 4096 sq meter of land will sell for 400,000 friggin dollars becuse it's right near one. P2P should have made the value go down but it didn't =/ Sell the land an move on geeeezzz! I'm happy I don't have to even to use a telehub anymore get rid of them,
