No, saying "even Coco" implies that you're just as probably inept at running a business of the size and type of LL as any one of us would be. Well, except for people that actually run technology/game businesses, I imagine they have a leg up.

Who Weedy was insulting with her comment was LL themselves. Give credit where credit is due.

That is certainly true, however, the phrase, if properly applied, is a slam on both parties. You would properly use it where the "even Jane Doe" part would name Jane Doe, who we would all know to be the absolutely least capable person to be able to do such a job. So the slam is twofold, one at LL for being called more inept than Jane, the most inept person we know, and of course, also a slam on Jane for being the most inept person we know.

Then let her use you if you like the analogy so much, Cory.

As for my degrees, etc., my master's degree is in psychology, from the University of Texas. Before that, I graduated undergraduate school from the University of Texas, Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude. Before that, I was in the Honors College at University of Michigan.

After grad school, I worked for national magazines, and after that, became a writer and contributing editor for national magazines, winning several national awards in the process; raised two kids, took care of my family, and stayed happily married close to three decades.

As such, I'm a capable and successful adult, who does not fit in an "even Coco" statement like that (if, indeed, ANYONE deserves that). I don't appreciate being Weedy's or anyone's punching bag, or used in an example in this manner, or attacked like this out of nowhere, and I'm damn sick of it, as a matter of fact.

And if you think I'm gonna stand here and take it, you got another think coming.

Go for it, Weedy. As far as running a business like LL, I'm probably more inept than Coco. Not ashamed to say it, and neither am I terribly worried if people think it of me.

Precisely, my comment was in regards to this post, where Coco implied she was running LL, I merely agreed.

OK, Weedy, I wasn't thinking of it in that context. If I weren't so used to hearing things like this from you, I wouldn't have gotten as upset.

But given that context, I apologize for flying off the handle, in case you really did mean it light-heartedly and I was just overly sensitive.
