I don't really understand the concept of "success" either in real life or in SL.
I think I more understand the concept of "happiness."
So I think basic happiness = basic success. In each life.
Ever hear the old Bill Cosby routine where he talks about this argument his wife had with their teenage daughter about going to the mall? At one point the daughter yells, "It's MY life, Mom! Your life is OVER!"
Whereupon, Bill says, he told his wife he guessed she should just go upstairs and pack her suitcases, being as how her life is over and all.
Well, see, that's where I am - my life is over, from my girls' point of view, anyway. So I figure success isn't something I'd chase after much anyway, lol.

My first life is truly blessed but I have worked hard to achieve and earn all that I have. I would say with honesty that I am living the dream.

Anyone with half a brain can make enough money to lead a reasonably comfortable and happy life. You could always write some history articles on wikipedia.  |

The ONLY way that SL is winning over my RL is that I have friends nearby...in my SL...but those SL friends, in their RL, are still just as far away as my RL friends are. The difference is, I can "see" them and "hang out" with them more often than I can my RL friends...and all my RL friends think I am crazy to spend so much time in SL... But when your closest RL friend lives over 400 miles away...you do what you can. Other than that, my RL is way more successful than my SL. But they are both a source of happiness for me.
