Maybe it would be better if you explained why an adult would want to have a sex with a child in roleplay or real life? Maybe that would help all of us "complainers" understand the difference between a grown up wanting to have sex with children in rl or in game.
Seems most of the "defenders" are stuck on the "its an adult behind that child avi" and not realizing that the person wanting to have sex with that "child avi" has a problem beyond the confinement of second life.
I'm sorry, its the encouragement that makes me sick. The people and the game encouraging and giving defenses to these people who find sex with children exciting. If they find it exciting in game, please tell me why you think they wouldn't find it exciting enough in rl to do it also, especially after having a cyber experience that is "OK" by the standards of some.
Just for an example I'll relate a little story.
I was sitting in my store one day with my nieghbor and this avi popped in. She was a full sized avi but had such terrible spelling. This made both me and my neighbor wonder. She was asking us about sez and how to have sybor. My neighbor asked her how old she was. She replied she was 19. Just basic spelling was totally beyond her and we figured maybe English wasn't her native language. I asked if she was sure she was 19..she said she was only 9 and please don't tell on her.
So here we had a 9 year old in an adults body trying to learn to have cybersex. Yes I place blame on the parents (or in this case the aunt who left her computer on and left the girl alone with it to make her own character) for allowing their children access to this adult side of the game.
Fact is, you can say its adults all you want but SL hasn't made that so its a "sure thing" that every person you meet in this game are adults over the age of 18.
Many children have self esteem issues and think that adult attention gives them a sense of being "worthy". PRAYING on that invulnerablilty is what bothers me. Allowing these people who find sex with children FUN the venue and the excuses....

They brought that same thing to SL its no different. They try to look like a child as much as possible in the real life situations. They can do the same in SL only they can take it further. Aquaint yourself with Age play before you actually start judging the people involved and get to know what real life age play is. |

Note: The FBI is very interested in these cases, although its mabey legal, they will file it and it will end up with all the other stuff waiting for an opening. Its more like keeping an eye on it and the persons/companies involved. A friend of mine was exploring around (Adult Grid) and ran across an Av that said he's a 9yo little boy! She asked him and he said he was 38 or something. Posing as a little boy on the Adult Grid!!! WTF! God forbid that someone would want to ROLEPLAY something that they're not...  This is just plain F#$@ing WRONG! Consenting adults doesn't mean crap when they are condoning AND simulating sex with a child. ABSOLUTELY disgusting!! They should be Banned from second life as soon as its witnessed... BOTH parties!!! They may be interested but unless the law changes if they tried to take it to court it'd be found legal or tossed out most likely. I think the people saying contact the fed's know little of law. The fed's may be interested but they cant persue it without just cause and its a 3d enviroment for people 18 and up so i'd like to see them find the cause to actually persue it. |

If i was an american i would call them and ask, i'm not sure if any of you americans is prepared to do so and stir in this very smelly pot tho... It would solve the endless discussion and hopefully end the 'daddy/little girl roleplay' in Second Life. _____________________
