Okay.. after you log in, look at the bottom of the screen. There is a button called Search. Look for the tab that says, "Places" on it. Type in Yadni and press enter/okay/whatever. Mouse down to the one that says, Yadni's Junkyard. Look to the right and press the button that says "teleport".

Also, try the Shelter and the New Citizen's Plaza. Ivory Tower to learn to build in the game is good also.

Ah, my bad. You have to have the place you want to go highlighted. In this case, it would be Yadni s Junkyard - Newbie Paradise. To know you have it highlighted properly an image will come up with a description of the place. At the bottom of the description field, there should be a button that says teleport.

No, you can't die, but you can wind up at home a lot

And to make sure you have it highlighted.. it's gotta glow blue. That's how you know. Click on it and it should turn blue instead of grey.

The never-ending debate of whether SL is a game or not .... heh heh.

Is SL a game? It can be.

Is SL a chatroom? It can be.

Is SL a CAD? It can be.

Is SL a learning environment? It can be.

Is SL a porn site? Um in some ways it can be.

Is SL a place to make money? It can be.

Is SL a place to pick up people? It can be, and I'd expect you to be careful at any rate.

Is SL addicting? It can be.

So what is SL?

Well what it IS ... that's up to you.

Of course, Yadni charges $1L for the bundles of stuff he offers so if the OP is a freebie account he won't have any $L at all.

There was a time when transaction records only showed those which were for a minimum of $1L, thus if Yadni wanted any record at all of transactions he had to put a price on them. I don't know if he's changed it to $0L but that's why there's a minimal fee.

Actually, Yadni has said numerous times that he charges to offset the cost of owning the land. He has enough visitors that the $1L per transaction is enough to keep him afloat, I guess. There are others who still charge the $1L because of the old accounting thing.
