I liked the old one before this new one alot better. I hate the new one its so poor quality looking snap shots.

i can deal with it, i did like the old one abit better, becuase after spending 10 min getting the perfect shot, i dont really need to see a freeze frame right away, adversely when im just snapping pics i dont want to miss any of the action becuase a slow freeze frame sucking down my ENTIRE screen

we use multi windowed UI's for a reason, and just for the record how do you come up with tear off menus and then make a full screen image preview in the same update, elvis took sleeping aids and speed at the same time, this kind of bipolar stress kills systems, its proven

If that were my intent, I would have ranted and raved and posted a plainly biased poll. If you read my original post, you'll notice I never even gave my opinion on the issue in this thread. If you then look at the poll options, I think you'll find them wholly unbiased. Don't agree? Tell me why.

I posted this because a number of people have expressed concern about this already. It seemed time to find out what everyone really thinks. Rather than babble random, meaningless, reactionary phrases, why not contribute?

First of all, with regards to the "chicken little" comment, I don't think that ridiculously overused term means what you think it means.

Secondly, I've spoken in defense of LL -- in fact, I specifically expressed annoyance at the screaming and crying that went on while SL was down for an update. This isn't an attack on LL, and it isn't screaming and crying. It's simply a poll asking what people think about a major change.

Amazingly enough, I had the crazy idea to post it in the Second Life forums, as if I thought they were for discussing the game. I know, I know. Pretty out there of me, huh?

Here's an idea for you: if you have such an incredibly difficult time dealing with the fact that people are using the SL forums to (*gasp!*) discuss SL, why don't you follow your own advice and vote with your feet?

This just shows what is wrong when fanbois and girls want to shout down any legitimite complaint about any aspect of their sacred "platform". Grow up. LL is a business, or wants to be a viable one, and kissing their asses no matter what they throw at you doesn't help them to fix the problems that need fixing or you as a consumer of their product.

It isn't so much I dislike how the new photo system is.. it seems fine except for a few things I'd rather do without. Like the ability to watch your av in real time with the snapshot like we did before, instead of pausing the whole place until you're done editing the photo.

Just little annoyances add up. Overall however, it seems that it was thought of good. But just could had done a little better.

I rather like the new snapshot system. And those saying it's poor quality aren't using it correctly. It's actually capable of far better than the old snapshot quality. And the simple fact that you have such control over the size and quality output is great. Choice is good.

Yes, the bling effect should probably be toned down or go, or preferably be an option, but the actual functionality - great!

It's kind of disorientating freezing the world this way full screen, especially when you return to the real world view and the people you were taking pics of have long since buggered off

I agree that the new edit feature are good but my point is they should be options not default, why not have a have a simple mode, and a advanced mode? this new system is great for soem photo shoots but just plain sucks for quick snapshots

I prefered the old system. I can see ideas that implemented this system, but they don't work for me. Like irl, I want a camera to push a button and take a pic. I don't need 255 options I'll never use.

On the side, yes, a lot of us complain about the minor things, but a lot of us praise LL for the ahrd work they do as well. Nothing is ever perfect, but if we don't express how we feel about it, they never know. Saying you don't like something is not whining, it is expressing the opinions of a customer to the seller. LL goes with the majority of popularity, so the only way for them to know what we think is to tell them.

The new system is not needed imo. Some may like it, but some do not. Personally, I would opt for a choice in which camera system was used per individual, but that depends on the complexity and feasibility of the coding envolved.
