Hi all... I'm getting ready to submit a new feature on the voting system and wanted to get some of your feedback. I would like to see the Lindens add a mailing list that we can subscribe to that would automatically email out our account transaction history on a weekly basis. Would this be of interest to you? Would you put one of your votes for it? Is the one-week timeframe acceptable, or would you like to see some other timeframe? Let me know what you think. If you're not familiar with the account transaction history, go to 'My Account', then click on the 'Transactions' link in the right column.

I think this needs to be in Feature Suggestions... but...
If it was an option, it would be nice. It'd also be nice to have full details like item names, maybe locations if possible. Even more wootastic would be an excel spreadsheet attachment.

Obviously this doesnt apply for everyone; but the transaction history in the 'my account' section is reasonably live; you can write a quick script to download and scrape it. -Adam

I really wish the in-world account history was anything resembling accurate... why is the in world account history so monstrously different than the Transactions page on the SecondLife.com web site?
Regards,
-Flip

I think an improved transaction history would be great! I don't understand either why the in-world and website versions are so different. The ability to have it emailed would be really cool too, it'd provide us with an easier way to keep records - something I'd definitely use.

I want a weekly CSV dump of my transactions including the name of objects sold. Currently I have to enter all of this info manually by flipping between Excel and SL. The My Account Excel export has been broken for God knows how long and doesn't provide complete information anyway.
I don't see any Linden help coming for this, though, because I can't imagine this being an important issue to very many users. (If it were, Excel export from My Account never would have stayed broken this long)

I'd love to have the record, but I would much prefer the Inworld Account History than the one here on the site. This one doesn't tell me anything about what actually sold, why someone paid me something, or what I paid someone else for.

Scrape? Color me confused. I for one would like easier access to the information in transaction history ... weekly email with a spreadsheet showing the info we have now, plus the item purchased. That would be good. I've never understood why I have to wait until I get inGame to see what someone bought. If the information is availalbe to me inGame, now come it isn't available in my transactions on the site? Great idea. Thanks.

This one doesn't tell me anything about what actually sold, why someone paid me something, or what I paid someone else for. Yes, agreed, that info is vastly more usefully presented. Unfortunately, it also misses a lot of stuff that is displayed in My Account -- namely, transactions paid by scripted objects. The in-world history likes to hide that as an "Unknown transaction," which is pretty useless. Ultimately, both transaction records are way inconsistent and I hate that. Improvement is desperately needed. But, like I said, as much as I want it, I'm not holding my breath.

(If it were, Excel export from My Account never would have stayed broken this long) Just a tip, Enabran - view source on the transactions page, chop out the navigation, save, open in Excel. Excel imports anything HTML tabulated quite nicely. This is just a tad less painless than what you're going through now. -Flip

This is just a tad less painless than what you're going through now. Yeah, I'd do that, except that "Object sale" isn't enough information for me. I need to know the actual object name, as that allows me to inform my sales tracking spreadsheet as to where the item was purchased (the sim name is automatically appended to the object name). No, the solution to my problems is for the system to stop sucking. But as I say, I'm not holding my breath on that one.

I think I would like to have the same data online as inworld. I don't think the email would be as useful. I do though, think some vendors generate sales reports, and thouse are not a bad feature. I would just rather see more detial put in the transaction histories.

Shouldnt be too hard to do. To add to the above; it would be nice if we got more information on the transaction history. The item name is a big one there. -Adam

BTW, the Excel export on https://secondlife.com/account/transactions.php is still broken, so getting a complete tally of all your transactions to date currently won't work.

Currently, I just copy/paste the table from the page into Excel, since export isn't working. It would be very nice to have item and location added to the detail.
