Ban Strife!

Lets face it, its not a positive word! I know what you are thinking, that banning words is bad... but hear me out

yes, it is one of the few words that rhymes with life which makes it a tool of bad poets and the uncreative everywhere, but this word does not fit into the corporate laboratory love machine

There is way too much strife in the SL forum. I vote for a ban.

Another post using the parody escape clause. The old excuse used to be it was performance art. Now insults are veiled behind parody. I wonder what it will be called six months from now, theorizing?

No, I don't think I agree with it... I might get shafted now and then but the job alienates you from the community like no other... and you don't get paid for it.

On most forums, moderators get a separate name to stop them being harrassed in-world by people who don't like the fact that they were moderated. This, however, is based on ACCURATE, FAIR and LEGITIMATE moderation, not the type that is causing so much trouble on the forums lately.

I believe a lot more people would be happier to come forward as moderators, especially those like me with previous forum moderating experience, should they not have to worry about in-world retaliation, especially given the open registration system.

i am referring to offensive, confrontational, and stupid words being stopped from running rampant in the forums

Lewis, I just feel banning anyone for any sort of service is an injustice... when you do work for someone and its free, they can tell you "Hey, um, we're cool now... we can get along without you, go have a break"

You know, the witless ones that can't really think of anything fresh but still have this constant desire for attention, so they start threads that are really nothing but variation of one-two ideas they ever had over and over and over and over....

Not all trolls are boring. Some of their names are quite amusing. We reveal an honest overview of our general attitude and demenor when we choose avatar names. Is this thread about some specific av? What is their name? Khamon needs more coffee.

I hate to have to point out what should be obvious but "thank you" is two words. I would further say that it would be hard to find fault with "thank" but "you" has great potential for trouble depending upon the you it would be refering to. A lot of "you" people have great potential for trouble, not to mention strife, but "you" does have a redeeming quality here in that it's elusiveness allows one not to name names which would be against the TOS.
