*sigh* I know I am addicted to SL because today, I was at the grocery store with another friend of mine who plays SL as well, and I was talking about buying butter, and turned around to see if she was within "speaking distance, or if I needed to shout". LOL Ugh ya Imma dork.

When moving new furniture into your home, you wonder if your land can support more prims.

When you know exactly how someone will respond in teh forums.

when you get sick of reading about people reading the same topic for nigh on 1 year

When someone says something really funny and you say LOL instead of actually laughing.

and you keep it a secret even from your therapist ...

When you reduce sleep to 1.5 hours per day.

When you lose ten pounds in one week because eating is a hassle.

When you walk outside and jump into the air with your arms outstretched expecting to fly.

When you actually try to walk like the new walk animation you bought.

When you wonder what the prim allowance for your dorm is going to be, and if you can fit all your primmy stuff in there. :0

When you go furniture shopping, and forget that things aren't copy-ok IRL ("hey, we could put four of those around a little table.. oh, forget I'd have to buy four".)

When you try and integrate Second Life with your RL job.

When you start buying books and taking courses you'd never have considered before just to build skills you can use in SL.

When you suspect, then find, then have proven to you that you can't ever have the Second Life you hoped for but you carry on logging in anyway.

... and when your SL loved one logs in, and you say, "Welcome home."

Also, I HAVE:

Looked at RL objects and mentally dissected them into their prim components.

Gotten up to go get something (RL) and almost told the other person in the room, "AFK a sec."

Had dreams set in SL, where I'm really, physically in the game-world, but speech is still text.

Tried to dance like my avie (nice try! ).

Had to stop myself, once or twice, from saying "lol" out loud.

Stipend Day is what makes going to work worthwhile.

Addiction level 0 - You have to consciously stop yourself from signing SL related e-mail or forum messages with your real name.

Addiction level 5 - You have to consciously check whenever you finish a message which name you're going to sign it with.

Addiction level 10 - You have to consciously stop yourself from signing real life e-mail or forum messages with your avatar's name.

When you see a police car and think, "It's nice to see the Linden's doing some patrolling now."

Or, when you go to the grocery store and see a tea labeled "Linden Mint Tea," and wind up thinking, "Wow, the Lindens are really serious about expanding their lines!"
