How about offering both options. One you can give to someone else, the other is great for stuff you buy yourself.

Honestly, I perfer to have copy rights and no transfer ability in general because I can use clothing in more then one outfit or for more then one avatar. It also prevents the asset server from eating it or accidental deletion. If I'm going to modify something I perfer to have a backup copy.

Lately I've gotten a whole shit load of positive comments about making bathing suit and lingerie clothing on both the Underpants/Undershit and Pants/Shirt layers of clothing, and offering them as the same garment for one price. I wonder how much praise I would still get for having to charge for each version, considering anyone could keep one layer and give the other one away or sell it.

I prefer to by as Copy. Mod. No Transfer, so that's the way I'll keep selling, until LL can protect sellers against reselling for profit.

You have some very nice stuff in your store. I've seen it and I like it.

However, I've bought none of it at all, whereas I've bought tons of stuff from Mischief and PixelDolls, because all of your stuff is no-transfer.

I flat out will *not* buy no-transfer, neither will my girlfriend, and neither will several of my friends.

Seriously, I'd love to buy your stuff, but I never will so long as it's non-transferable.

And that is your choice. But for every person like you, there is also one who will not buy an item if its not copyable as well. Given the current permissions system, you can't please both. I prefer no transfer, you prefer transfer...to each their own and never the two shall meet.

What SL needs is something like object pointers or "shortcuts" that can be used to point to an item, wherever it is in the inventory in order to make it possible to put together an "outfit" folder.

As to never the two meting, why not? Why is impossible to offer versions in both copy/no transfer and no copy/transfer?

As to my bein as definite as I was about not buying no-transfer items...there were a lot of prior posts going the other way. I wanted to point out that the feelings ran just as strongly when it comes to not buying anything non-transferable.

Furry avs mix well with copy-no transfer. You can graft on prim parts, hats, ear-rings, nose rings, finger rings.

Also, furries frequently have mutliple avs, so for the folder swap if you'd like the same dress as a bunny or a cat or a dog, copy-no transfer is the way to go.

Right on, Jonquille. I've told you before how much I appreciate that you have your clothing set to mod/copy/notrans...and that's why you, and not so many others with nocopy/trans perms on their stuff, get MY Lindens. :D
