As quoted from the release notes
 "The “PvP Abuse” option, formerly located under “Help” has been returned to the “Help” menu as the new and improved “Bumps, Pushes, & Hits” option. Instead of automatically opening each time you are bumped, it instead tracks any bumps, hits or pushes for your reference (along with a timestamp of when it occurred). Encourage Residents to use this information when filling out Abuse Reports." Thank you LL _____________________

Is there an option that registers when you get shot? I was sent flying twice on my first week and one was because I refused to be forced into lewd acts, so it was my first online rape attempt and murder.

I don't think this detects non-physical pushes.
If it did, the Lindens would already have it in their own tools and wouldn't have to be reviewing top level scripts to attempt to find them. |

What made me laugh more than anything was Philip's chat transcript posted earlier this week, where he said the Auto-report was "inadvertently" removed (his exact word).
A week or two before, Robin had explained that it was purposely removed to try to reduce "needless" ARs that were clogging up the reporting system. I think they need a meeting _____________________

At least in your case it was pretty obvious who attacked you. I hope when you AR'd, you included the chat transcript to show the Lindens how bad it was. I think that's a case where I'd just find a different sim to play in and maybe buy a shield. Psyke's Security HUD has a "target list" function (among lots of other goodies) that you can use to keep idiots like that away from you if LL doesn't remove them (and they won't - you're really on your own with harrassment like that). Burke's Yoric is great too (and includes an orbiter), but it doesn't give you the scan list of local avatars that Psyke's HUD does. _____________________

Basically, it serves the same purpose, but the "too convenient" Report Abuse button has been removed, so newbies would not report everyone they have been bumped by anymore. They could have just removed the button and keep the PvP dialog in place instead of re-implementing it, but maybe they took the chance to rename it to something easier to understand. _____________________

I should have teleported away and I wouldnt have gotten bumped and shot. I still plan to subscribe when I get enough free funds to do so but right now I need to keep it on the cheap. |
