Thats what pisses me off. And it just confirms everything i've heard. They do pay more attention the people with islands and whatnot. Really thats smart, but they don't have to make it so obvious

They're not paying more attention to the island owners in this case.... The attacks occur on the mainland, so many islands simply aren't affected or aren't as badly affected.

Actually, this is what you posted:

Yesterday took 1 hour and 49 minutes...Its only been an hour and 15... so hold on people!

And if you look, the first reports were made at 1:27 p.m. game time. Robin posted this at 1:53 p.m.

There is another attack on the grid, necessitating that we shut it down to log-ins and clean things up. We anticipate this process will take a couple hours, and will post here when it opens up again.

I know this is totally frustrating -- for us too. We're working with the authorities to go after the people responsible for these attacks, as you know. When I have information to share I'll pass it on.

You really can't use the time of the "latest information" post by Torley as when the grid went down. Especially when there are earlier resident and Linden reports.

I live on a private island and I was kicked out, sim crashed and cannot log back on it.
So it doesn't have anything to do with LL paying more attention to those... it's about luck.
That sim was probably just not affected so they did not care to make it offline.
You should just be happy, means less mess for them to clean, and less LL work means getting back online sooner.
Whew.

No it doesn't. Your original post was at 4:14 game time. That was 2 hours and 47 minutes after the first resident report in the forums and 2 hours and 20 minutes after the first Linden announcement. Which doesn't add up at all to the 1 hour and 15 minutes you posted.

No questions at all. You are wrong. You can't use the "update" Torley gave as the time the grid went down, when Robin Linden posted an announcement that the grid was down an hour before Torley's post. And there were resident reports nearly half an hour before Robin's announcements. Do you see? Torley's post was an update on the situation. It was not the first announcement of the grid being down. So you can't time it from his update, you have to time it from the first reports.

I think if you wanted some credibility.. you would not insult the people you are addressing in your first sentence. Thank you for questioning my and other people's intelligence.

The credibility issue notwithstanding (since I couldn't give a smeg), Karsten is bang on. These self-replicators do not teleport, and thus would have to be hand-delivered to private sims.

If you want to get self-righteous, though, feel free - just bear in mind it makes you look goofy. :)

it wasn't a matter if she was right or wrong.. its a matter of insulting your "audience" in your first sentence and expect people to listen to what you have to say... she could have said 2 plus 2 is 4... i still wouldn't take listen to what she had to say.. after saying is logic applicable to this crowd.. or whatever her exact words were. and no im not self-righteous... it was her who was putting herself above "this crowd" including... you.

Why a 1/2 hour? What happened a half an hour before Torley's update? Robin's announcement was 2 hours 20 minutes before you were saying it had only been 1 hour 15 minutes. And the original resident reports were half an hour before Robin's post. So residents reported the grid outage 2 hours and 50 minutes before you made your original post. So the people saying 3 were right.

I think you need to go back to third grade.. which I occasionally teach.. and learn the basic principles of time.
