They're pretty lax on security. That kitty has a sword, or a very large probing device.

I thought that was more geared to disclosure of things that are not easily available by clicking the second or third Google hit from an email address that is posted publically in a profile here. Maybe I should have just said "Googling the email address tells me otherwise". I am not trying to start anything, I like Yiffy's posts for the most part. I was just curious, as Yiffy had always struck me as being male.

Dude...

You intentionally posted it though to ridicule a SL user. I mean, this is SL forum, you could have posted that elsewhere if you wanted, but I strongly believe it's still disclosure and a ToS violation.

And PLUS it was not cool. I like Yiffy and it was just too low a blow. Seriously.

And, me.. I have a furry av alright, with a stormtooper outfit. So I kinda dont like that kind of nonsense.

Then by all means, AR me. Okay? :) Let's see if a Linden sees it as me ridiculing Yiffy.

Yes, be a good boy and only praise people instead of taking the stance of... uhh.. saying something that could maybe make someone say "no", even though it is public information.

Anyways, I do believe the male statement was more of a Role Play thing. Yiffy believes to be a male wolf in spirit, but I don't think she is actually a male.

Setting aside for a moment the fact that you choose to refuse to accept, that only a portion of furries are even into the occasional yiff....
From: Tren Neva
As for why people think furry sex equals bestiality; it's a matter of perspective really. Having sex with an animal/animal-human while you are a human/animal/animal-human seems like bestiality in the eyes of many "outsiders".
You are the outsider so none of your dam business and not your place to judge. How you choose to define the lifestyle of another is completely irrelevent. The only definition that matters is that of the person living it.

I am involved in a D/s style relationship. One of my pet peeves is when some idiot comes along, whose never experienced it for themselves, and tries to tell me what D/s and BDSM means. The only definition of my relationship that matters, is my own definition.

From: Tren Neva
Searching for my old childhood cartoons turns up results of Gadget from Rescue Rangers and My Little Pony doing things that can not be erased from the mind.
Really? hmmm I searched my little pony and got pictures of, guess what, my little pony and thats with safe search turned off. But if it really worries you, ever heard of a filter? You don't want to see something, don't go looking for it.
1st page of search for my little pony.... guess what, ponies..imagine that.

I really enjoy it when people don't read what I say, then write a few paragraphs about how wrong the things I didn't say are. I don't believe I brought my judgemental views when I said "As for why people think furry sex equals bestiality; it's a matter of perspective really. Having sex with an animal/animal-human while you are a human/animal/animal-human seems like bestiality in the eyes of many "outsiders"." That was answering the previous question as to who or why people may think furry sex equals bestiality.

Secondly, don't tell me that I have no idea what I'm talking about. I've read article after article, visited many furry forums/livejournals/myspace's, and even took a visit to Furcadia. If I didn't do any of those things, your point of me not knowing anything about furries might of been valid.

Edit: Hell, I didn't even judge anyone. But even if I did, I would have every right to do so. Do I have to live the life of a murderer to judge them? Do I have to see through the eyes of eleven year old army roleplayers to form some sort of opinion about them?

I read all your posts here, I read the entire thread. In fact I've read your opinion of furries in other threads before this, you make your opinion fairly clear.

As to what you know or think you know... Yea the guy who told me he "read all about bdsm and even read the story of O" seemed to think he knew enough to tell me how wrong my relationship was too. Investigating a subject before you comment on it is a good thing, I encourage that. However investigating with your vision already clouded by preformed opinion tends to cloud the results as well.

There are no murderers here, the comparison is pointless. And no you don't need to walk in someone elses shoes to form an opinion of them, you've proven that. But you do need to walk in their shoes to be able to claim to understand them.

Forum Guidelines
Private discussions – the forums are a public area for the Second Life community’s use. Individuals who have a dispute with each other have other channels of communication to discuss their differences or communicate – private messaging, IM within Second Life, or chatting within Second Life. Also, threads that are addressed to a single individual or group are inappropriate on the forums, this includes slander or "naming names" in a posts title, starting polls about a particular resident or group, etc.
Flaming, Spamming, TrollingFlaming (posting a message that is intended to incite anger or directly attack a person or persons), Spamming (multiple posts of the same topic or discussion), and Trolling (a post with an intentionally contrary opinion written with the intent of inciting or getting argumentative opinions) are strongly discouraged. If you think your post might be over-reactive, or that it might fall into one of these definitions, please reconsider posting.

Community Standards
  1. Intolerance

Combating intolerance is a cornerstone of Second Life's Community Standards. Actions that marginalize, belittle, or defame individuals or groups inhibit the satisfying exchange of ideas and diminish the Second Life community as whole. The use of derogatory or demeaning language or images in reference to another Resident's race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or sexual orientation is never allowed in Second Life.
  2. Harassment

Given the myriad capabilities of Second Life, harassment can take many forms. Communicating or behaving in a manner which is offensively coarse, intimidating or threatening, constitutes unwelcome sexual advances or requests for sexual favors, or is otherwise likely to cause annoyance or alarm is Harassment.
  3. -
  4. Disclosure

Residents are entitled to a reasonable level of privacy with regard to their Second Lives. Sharing personal information about a fellow Resident --including gender, religion, age, marital status, race, sexual preference, and real-world location beyond what is provided by the Resident in the First Life page of their Resident profile is a violation of that Resident's privacy. Remotely monitoring conversations, posting conversation logs, or sharing conversation logs without consent are all prohibited in Second Life and on the Second Life Forums.

Torley Linden:
I don't see any good coming out of this and I've got a lot of things to do with helping the community today. Stays closed.
