errrmm.... I think Cindy Claveau was talking about me o.o

Was the dragon a red dragon, with only two horns, no spines, no whiskers, my claws and horns are black, and eyes yellow.

That was one of Daryth Kennedy's dragon avatars, she makes very good ones. I modifyed mine to be uniquely me, but the avatar is by Daryth.

Do you reconize my name Cindy?.. I don't reconize your's, but I've met many people.

After the encounter, I was struck again with how in Second Life, you've never actually "seen it all". Since my return, I've found scripted picnic blankets and watches that will temporarily rez a fully equipped skybox - the blanket coming with any of 6 modules including graveyard, Paris, sunroom or camp site and all the sit/cuddle/etc poseballs you and yours may want.

These have taken SL by storm, we must admit. It is called the Paradise Blanket, originally created by my business partner October Brotherhood (Octoberwerks). Since then, he has upgraded the scripts and the new blanket accepts modules to take you to any of several places. New ones are coming out all the time and they are just as much fun to build as they are to use :)

Glad to see they made someone smile!

There's a little dragon in all of us.

And if not, do you want some?

I can't say for sure where you were, but for some odd reason, I've noticed the Caledon Highlands *do* seem to be attracting the creatures.

Ahrrr, yer gonna have ta make a gigantic primmie sign big enough to show up on the map that says:

HERE THERE BE DRAGONS.

:p

Speaking of STUNNING Second Life content, I simply HAVE to echo this here.

I don't think I've ever seen anything even close to this, in 3 years of Second Life.

"A Better Life" by Robbie Dingo (whom I do not know, but I'm pimping it anyway).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6D9K9xTmt0

Yes, it's posted in the machanima forums.

But damn it all, Everyone. Must. See. This.

you are SO right about people needing to see this. very touching piece, for sure.

Second Life - Your World. Your Imagination.

..but don't forget, that means Your Dreams, too.

Thirded. Robbie does brilliant work, despite the fact it is not as well known.

Thank you for sharing that video. It made my day.

Hi Dafydd. Yes, you described the dragon correctly. I don't remember your name, however -- I was with a group of 3 of my friends, one of whom is a tall green ogre with red spikey hair :) (do NOT call him a Troll!) He is hard to forget.

*Makes a mental note to pay a visit to Caledon* :D

I know I can't possibly be the only dragon that finds it terribly amusing to randomly fly over people's heads or just land behind them, and watch their reaction XD

Just a quick note to the Dragon kind:

Attractive as they may appear to be, Ordinal's high speed balloon transports do *not*make good love prospects, and inappropriate abuse of them may cause physical harm to both dragon and balloon passengers.

Please approach with caution and due respect.

Thank you!

Ah, I feel proud to be remembered then. I have some saddle issues as well, for some reason the saddle I have where I'm in control doesn't work (me, rider, and saddle all either go our seporate ways in the air, or me; rider and all tumble to the ground like a rock in 'no object drop' zones o.o') there's also many issues of gettiing the rider to stay in the saddle, av keeps slideing around.

However, the saddle I have where the RIDER is in control still works great. If you'd like I can let you have a ride; I may have even offered back when I first saw you, unless there were a lot of people around (I avoid offering things like what when a lot of people are around, otherwise I make everyone else annoyed they weren't offered, or I end up giving dragon back rides for the next four hours)

Phedre Aquitaine; if you have an avatar by Daryth that has the borked saddle, IM me, if other's are haveing the same problems, maybe we could ask Daryth to help fix the saddles, I hate not being able to use the saddle with me in control. After all, it is my body; even with the rider-dragon relationship I would mostly do what the rider asked of me while in the air.

Dafyyd, are you using any kind of HUD? I found that my personal Security HUD causes huge problems for me when i try to ride anything (aircraft, boat, poseball) if I don't take it off first.

WOW...very touching. SL is THAT for me...it's where I can be MORE than what I am in real life. Some may say that is sad...but for some of us...it's the honest-to-god truth. And I for one am glad I'm here.

I have a HUD, but it's never interfeared with anything (except the blasted buttons being in the way when I try to click things (visible or invisible doesn't matter). I could be what the thing in your HUD does, if it's one of those sheild generators, then yes it'll cause problems. Anything that affects your avatars movement, spawning objects, or pushes you/others could cause problems when trying to do things like sit on things (or ride/drive in the case of vehciles)

BTY I'm online at the moment (12PM SL time Thurdsay April 27th) for a few hours

I'm still fussing with the few minor things we talked about, Dyne - but hope to have the final version of it on the Academy classroom floor... today?

For anyone who wants to see Dyne's INCREDIBLE Map Of The Grid, it's at the newly minted Caledon Academy of Virtual Wizardry.

Region: Caledon Highlands - can't miss the Academy right at the telehub, take the dangerous lakeside stairs to the top floor and you can't miss Dyne's map.
