So far as I know, a resident who becomes a Linden is not supposed to use their Linden-ness in such a way to advantage any in-world business of theirs. In the one case I know, the person was able to keep their shop as a resi, but wasn't supposed to further promote that shop.

Torley appears to be both an experimental case (directly turning the resident account into a Linden one) and, granted, such conflicts don't come up since Torley was your basic wandering monk of SL.

Personally I have no problem with linden business competition. Oh I think maybe a restriction on land ownership, but otherwise? more power to them if they want to go home and play with the same thing they work with ;).

haha.. No I won't tell my thoughts on this particular issue..

But.. :D

Seriously don't be too happy to know someone you love is moving up to Linden status. Why? Because as much as I love every linden, some more than others *grin* .. haha. You have to realize that it changes a great deal of things.

They can no longer hang out at a whim like they used to. Gone are the nights they can just pop in and say "hi" for the most part. They have a job to do now. They have to go and do when and where. They have to be more careful of what they say and to who. Especially in the world today with people we can't name. :p *Most* of them have to keep their Linden identity a secret. And in a gossip world like ours, I know that isn't easy! I have friends that have become Lindens, and I barely get to see them anymore.

So.. I love it for those who are willing to do it. But I personally dread the days that any friend tells me they are possibly going to be one. And all the people named in this thread. I'd miss them a hell of a lot. Even if I'd be happy for them. :)

Belaya Linden would scare small dogs and children.

And rule the IRC channel on the intarweb with a velvet glove over an iron fist of doom.

Exerpt from my interview:

Siggy: So can I turn invisible and shit - like noone can see me?
Philip : Yes, but remember Siggy, with this power comes great responsibility....
Siggy: Yah my responsibility to myself to see some tittie! BOOYAH! WOOT!
Philip : Hmm let me put this another way - you must be careful, absolute power corrupts absolutely..
Siggy : Yah yah yah, personally I think absolute power Farkin ROCK! YEAH!
Philip.....
Siggy: So can I like eject people into the stratosphere and make extra large fart particles?
Philip (rapidly hitting desk button) .... ah Jeff? Ben? can you come in here please?
Siggy: Can I make a prim tongue 20m long and like lick the back of my own balls when we get floppy prims?
Philip: ....Ah I think that concludes this interview.. (to intercom) BEN... BEN!
Siggy: Sweet, and I make it rain phys toilets and shoot trout outta my arse in the WA! THIS IS GONNA ROCK!
Philip (starts opening window and puts his leg out onto the ledge)

If you play the percentages you might want to go with Hiro Linden (60 Hiro's), Maxx Linden (35 Maxx's), Candy Linden (51), Amy (61), Jessica (62), Joe (100), Bob (100)...

To weigh in on my theory, there is a Chris Linden (100 chris'), Zero Linden (68 zeros), Robin (59), Ben (100), etc etc etc
