Something I've done in the past is pre-build either in a sandbox or on your own land. That way you can rez and drop once you know if you've won. You have to guesstimate prims, and your build may go to waste if you don't win, but this method gives you more time to work.

Especially at this time of year. I'm not bored and looking for something to keep me busy. Had they listed the names of participants on the 9th when they announced (for the second day in a row) that the list would follow shortly, I would have worked elsewhere over the weekend to make a ready to drop build. I'm guessing that they didn't release the names of participants until they were finished setting up the plots. Cofirmation that one had won a plot could have been made prior to that. That's only if the goal was to have the place looking festive and less barren on opening day.

I'll do this in the future, and not wait for an announcement. Anyway, no build ever goes to waste! coco

I didn't even know I had been awarded a plot. I am at work and will be setting up late Friday into Saturday morning!
Happy Holidays!

I finished it! Then had to redo it a bit when I found my lot was long instead of wide AND had a huge snow bump in the middle! Then a friend and I went around and looked at all the glorious builds! I specially loved the candy mountain! And Lauk's winter scene with the beautiful wolf and the music box where I loved being ballerina while my friend knelt (took pics, of course!) - oh, and the beer can Christmas tree! There were so many prety and fun things, everyone should go! coco
