To get back on topic.
It is actually easy why it becomes there home point, when they TP of Help Island or an Orientatation Island, the first place they land will be set as Home.
There even excisted a bug that it also set the home for Live Helper/Mentors and Greeters when they tp'ed of Help Island.

I find the suggestion that I have to be a hippie as well as a socialist personally offensive. When the glorious revolution comes, hippies will be sent to the Corn Gulag. Though we might make an exception if they publicly renounce tie-dye and patchouli, as long as it is done with the requisite amount of tearful shame for their crimes.
