Looking to interview Caucasian players

I TOTALLY agree Cristiano. I myself have only met 5 black Avis and TWO are white in RL. We have actually thought about having an open discussion in world about race in SL. I know I am interested .... IM me inworld if anyone else is...

If I may ask...for what exactly?

Is it because you, and perhaps a few others, have only seen a handful of Black people in SL?

Frankly, I'm shocked to read that some people have only met (or seen) 1, 2 or 5 (or any single digit number for that matter) of black avis in SL. I'll have you know there is a large community of Black people in SL. Many of them are very talented designers, creators, and builders.

Reading some of these posts, they would have you believe that one would have to search high and low to the extremes of the SL world, to find a Black person. Would it surprise you then, if I told you that all one had to do to find a large community comprised of predominantly Black people was to look in the "Most popular places" list.

That location for those who dont know, or ever bothered to visit it, is an island called "South I." It is consistently on the "Most popular places" list, and has been so for a very long time. And there are more. Look around please. Black people in SL are not as rare as some of you would make it out to be. And certainly no less so than Hispanics, or Asians, or any other minority race.

I'm affraid to inform some that such may be the case, that "if" you are one to perceive a problem here...

I wasnt trying to be disrespectful, but it does appear you may have taken it that way. No the reason that race issues in SL interests me is for several factors actually...
1. You are correct, i have not seen many black avis within the so called "general" population of SL, if there is an entire sim or area, why is that they stay there? Is it something that other non black avis have done? ARE they racists undertones in SL that people just arent talking about?

2. I know of one specific avi who is black and in RL he is white. Several people had told him SL had racism running rampant, so he created his avi to sort of find out for himself.

I spoke with a friend of mine last night, whose avi is black and who is a BEAUTIFUL black man in real life and he agreed that a discussion isnt such a bad idea. The more we dont talk about things, the more they are likely to fester. In SL and in RL. Race relations is NOT something we should be shutting up about. Racism STILL exists. I am just the type of person who wants to learn ALL I can, so that I may leave a better world for my daughter.
