Does anyone have a copy of the old home page from early 2005? They had a picture of a woman, half of her face was her RL photo and the opposite half was her avatar's face (which matched almost exactly), and it was just so well done. I wouldn't mind seeing something like that back up on the home page again.  There's one showing the context of the page as well.  Thank you, EggyWiki._____________________

Why is Aimee not on the front page!!!!
 She is the spokesmodel "face" of SL, and I think this is a serious oversight on LL's part. IN fact, I quit! And why is there a gun on it??? And why isn't there a build on it? And why aren't I on it? And why does it look like City of Heros rather than SL?? But all in all, it's not bad.  _____________________

I love the fact that the map is gone; the page was clean and it was easy to quickly see everything. All good changes.
But... While showing a furry and a robot with three humans is a nice start to capture the diversity in SL, why were all the humans white? There is a lot more to SL than being a furry, a robot or a white club hoping sex pot. _____________________

Thanks Nyx and Flip! That's the one...I was really struck by that image when I first joined because it really conveyed how limitless SL can be.

WHY THE HECK CAN'T THEY PUT SOME DECENT LOOKING CLOTHES ON THE GIRLS??? Seriously those are just icky.. yeah they show more, but heck you can show even more and have cute clothes.. jeeze... let me guess... it was a guy who made that.. -.-

Thank you, EggyWiki.that is pretty clever, I think that would draw me in faster than any of the others I've seen... and I personally don't like the banner of sl.. the guy with the eye think freaks me out.. and the girl with the green hair, well she's scarey too.. |

I think the new home page pic is awesome - its apeal is strong (esp towards women).
Its funny how its being picked apart here..lol! Its a far cry better than the map and alot more inticing to new players to come onboard the SL grid. |

I agree - wtf is Aimee... if for no other reason that it will give Prok(tology) something to write about for the next 8 months...
I mean I miss the 'all roads lead to Aimee's panties' conspiracy theories...... The new ones suck. Personally I'd like to see a cow exploding on the front page - not because it says anything about SL, just that exploding cows are cool. _____________________
