From: ZsuZsanna Raven I decided to leave the area as I was tired of spending all my time IMing Lindens about idiots. Apparently the kid came back several more times. Gotta love the new acct system eh? LL has put in place its machine hash retrieval system last patch, it better start using it for cases like this. Preferrably like now! Otherwise, we are still back where we started after 6/6/06. Wendel

From: Ctarr Huszar The only abuse reports that seem to get looked at are if a tree branch is crosssing a property line.
The only way to stop all this abuse happening to the good residences of SecondLife is if Linden Labs STOPS THE OPEN UNVERIFIED REGISTRATIONS - NOW!!!
Tagging players with account info now only opens up a whole new extra can of worms....who ever in LL thought up that open free registartion was a great idea - well, if that/those people worked for me - they wouldn't be any more. Its ruining the simulation and now Linden labs whinning about how they will have tools available (soon - yeah) to fix the massive problems Linden Labs created themselves!!!...and it seems like they don't want to hear about it any more since they removed the PVP abuse report.
I had 7 AR reports and 2 PVP abuse reports from a griefing that happened to me and NOTHING..repeat NOTHING was done about it - even though LL recieved very accurate AR from me. (sorry - Im venting now). Go ahead and vent - I have the same problem with the AR system and so do a lot of other people. I was listening to the podcast of the last Town Hall meeting with Phillip Linden, and his perspective was surprising: he views the entire grid first as a business, second as an edifying experiment in sociology, but he does not have any interest in individual events. Moreover, he finds it noteworthy - in a detached, uninvolved sort of way - that civil systems for maintaining lists of known griefers may be being shared amongst landowners and shopkeepers to eject/ban people. He thinks that the social pressure to behave can very likely come from us, and not the Lindens themselves, and encourages the pursuit of such systems and socially based arrangements. This clearly shows that he not only expects but encourages self-governance, which in turn suggests a general endorsement of the emergence of various groups that provide security services. It also shows that it's not against the ToS to collect names of griefers and use them for your own purposes - it's just against the ToS to post those names on the forums. As proof of this policy (beyond going to the Town Hall podcast and listening for yourself), note the heavy participation of the Green Lantern Core in the Third Birthday Celebration last weekend. They were invited to participate, and in fact supplied much of the programming for the event. If Linden Labs didn't approve of this sort of thing, they wouldn't have been there.

From: ZsuZsanna Raven I just love theses excuses, I call them excuses because that is what they are. My favorite: After ejecting and banning a jerk from the land, he comes back and IMs me, explaining that he had been in the bathroom and his 'friend' had taken over his avatar while he was gone (said 'friend' had known where the guy's guns were in inventory, obviously, and how to use them). "What do you want me to do? Run out with my dick in my hand?" My answer: "It would have been better than getting banned. Thanks for the laugh." /mute

I don't disagree with any of the comments (save the one that questions if I'm a Troll) however it seems we have lost sight of why I started this thread! A CLUB OWNER IS GIVING WEAPONS TO NEWBIES!!!! Think about the message it sends: ITS OK TO USE THESE THINGS ITS OK TO BOMB SHOOT or Othewise Disrupt SL!
